Longest tee ball, Jack or Gary?

 

Grats to Russell Henley on his birdie at the 4th. Anyone know how long it's playing today?

 

On "Track" it says his shot was 184 yds. And it was pretty much hole high. So looks like it's not playing its 240yds it can be played.

 

Also, 20 players, and no one has birdied the 1st yet. I winder what direction wind is...

I'm enjoying the feature group coverage. Getting a much better feel for each hole. It feels like I'm watching final round coverage of a Euro Tour event, which is a Good Thing.

 

1 playing brutal - I feel sorry for the amateur who walked off with a 7....

Ha. I knew that was coming. You will still need to know the flex as well as length. Maybe even if he had it cured. And we are not even getting into the head adjustments Rory made. Anyhow I tried to get a clue from his expressions with Gary after he hit and just before the pictures. Hard to tell if he was the victor but we need to know.

100% his caddie lol glad I'm not the only one. I like Zach though.

 

I feel like golf season really doesn't start until the Masters (especially living in Seattle) so this is a great time of year!! I'm actually going out to play today for only the second time this year. Can't wait.

I saw a quick interview with McGirt yesterday. He had played the course recently with the wind direction forecasted for today and tomorrow.

 

He said hole 1 played about 530 yds.

I don't follow this closely but I'm curious what the caddie issue is? Is he a total jerkwad like that Williams loser? As a general rule I don't like caddies. Think they are over rated and in todays game, get waaaaaay too much attention and credit.

I am enjoying watching the guys hit drivers on the range. Spieth was putting them out there 250-260. Goes to show how ridiculous some of the announced yardages are.

 

Also, they had him hitting a pitching wedge, which was clearly an AP2, which would be his 9 iron.
