$0.27+ per near mint urethane ball on eBay (TM/Srixon/Bridgestone/Callaway/Nike)

I realized I had eBay bucks and caved... grabbed 2 of the last 4 60-counts of TM. This now makes for 18-dozen balls purchased in the last 2 days and somewhere north of 55-dozen on-hand when they arrive. I stopped buying clubs about a month ago, and over the last month my ball count has more than tripled. Must... stop... buying...

 

Back up to 5 available. This is the sketchiness I was talking about earlier. They re-up it to 5 each time it gets low in order to create the false perception that they're running low.

I noticed that too... oh well, I bought more because of finding the eBay bucks than any assumption they were about to sell out.

They built up pretty quickly... between this deal for the TMs (10-dozen), the RBG TM TP Ammo Box deal (9-dozen), RBG Hex Pro deal (3-dozen then 2-dozen), Slazenger Practice deal stacked with Dick's Coupon (9-dozen), then several random $10 dozens (mostly Duos) on a few different Budget Golf orders to push up to free shipping and a few other random Gamer/Soft/Tour when on BOGO or 2-FOR and stacked with Dick's coupons.

 

I've jumped on a lot of new urethane balls in $12-15/dozen range, new low-ish compression and 3-piece surlyn balls in the $7-10/dozen range, and now this deal for used urethane below $3.50/dozen (around $2/dozen after eBay bucks).

 

And now I need to stop buying them and start losing them

I know it is easy to do with all the deals going on over the last month or so! That is how I ended up with like 5 dozen myself, mostly all Chrome Soft's!

 

If I had that many, I could hit one every shot and not look for it and they would still last my many years! :)

 

I did just jump on this deal for one Srixon and one Taylormade with plans to hand out a bunch to my golf buddies to try! I haven't tried any Taylormades so wanted to give them a go and Srixon's are nice golf balls so had to get some of them!

I've pretty much stopped looking for my own balls for more than a minute or two... and I leave plenty of found balls behind if they're not something I'd buy myself and in good shape.

I have never been one to look for a ball for more than a minute. If I go where I think it is, I take a quick look them move on. I hate it when folks spend like 10 minutes looking for balls with no respect for the golfers behind them!

If golfballnut is the seller I bought about 10 dozen Chrome soft today. I play 3A balls for normal rounds and play 4A or 5A in tourneys. I never buy new balls, they're like cars- they're only new until you drive 'em.

I have purchased from this seller before and their deals are legit. I purchased "Mint" and they were truly new condition. Some of the best used balls I have purchased to be honest.

I am confident - as I said I purchased from this seller in the past and their idea of "Mint" really is. Fast shipment too. I had added them to my fav seller list but had somehow missed these prices. I am betting that many of my 60 will be so close to mint I got my money's worth and then some. Will update once they arrive if anyone is interested.

Grabbed the Srixons at $25 last night. As a ball to toss in my bag when I walk, which get left behind when they go too far left, these will be perfect. Thanks OP.

Well I received the box of Taylormade golf balls today and I have to say I am not impressed. I literally found maybe 10-11 total out of 60 that I would hit/play with about 4 others that I may consider playing but are borderline condition wise (ones with lighter scuffs and not quite as stained/discolored). The rest are badly discolored and/or have actual cuts on them, some light and some deep cuts.

 

Even at $18 for these, it was NOT a deal for me and if I had known what to expect condition wise I would have skipped it for sure!

 

Now I have a box of Srixon's coming too and based on this, I don't expect much or have high hopes but will post findings once they arrive.

 

I hope others get better conditioned ones than I received today!

As I said prior I have purchased from this seller before and was pleased with the condition and quality. Paid a little more the last time as I recall because I got "Mint". Hoping these are that far below what I would consider a true playable ball.

Got my Srixons...42 were QStars and one was unidentified even though the listing said all Z-star series. Some are certainly shag balls.

Not happy with mine either. Theres maybe 8-10 that are "near mint" like the description says. Lots of discoloring and scuffs and definitely some shag balls. I guess I got what i paid for. Going to send the seller a message just for kicks. Disappointing.

This is probably what I will end up with then with my Srixon lot. I haven't sent the seller any message yet cause I wanted to wait for the Srixon's to come in and see then I will send him one on both the Taylormade's and Srixon's.

I won't be too bothered by balls like those pictured by lloyyd, but actual cuts and water-line discoloration will get complaints from me. Anything that's not a ball listed in the description (like rynobucket's Q-Stars) will also draw my ire. I'd love to see other pics from those who've received theirs. Looks like I was wrong about mine making it today, so it'll be tomorrow before I get them in.

Here are pics of mine: 17 Z-series, 42 Q-Stars, and a stray ball that's model ends in -athon. Note the 'peeling' on the stray ball, a few of the Q-stars have the same peeling. It is almost as if the spin-skin was partially removed.
