What will Sand Valley do? They have to keep some staff during the winter I imagine.

After having been to Streamsong last year, this would be a question I have regarding their staffing in such a remote area. Our service experience at Streamsong - on the hotel side - was absolutely abysmal from top to bottom, start to finish. One of the managers on the golf side (different company) admitted they were having a hard time finding a significant amount of qualified help.

Granted SV is not that big yet but if they have plans for 3+ courses you would think their lodging options would have to increase as well. So they run into a staffing numbers issue as well as the seasonal problem.

No matter, I'm looking forward to checking it out. Ran out of days on my August trip between Kohler and Erin Hills but would definitely go at some point.

Knowing adams county well and knowing this area has been hit hard financially myself and my dad were also worried that they were going to have a hard time finding good help but from the looks of it, it appears that Mike Keiser has imported a great staff from far and wide. Went out for dinner there two weeks ago and had one of the best meals I have had in a long time and during the meal the waiter was young but attentive and accommodating, then 3 people visited our table to make sure we were taken care of, Club GM Glen Murray who was very nice, head Chef, and restaurant manager. Next day we came back and played golf and clubs were taken out of the car at the bag drop, checked in and greeted with smiling faces every where. In talking to the employees it seems that some are from the area, talked to two employees that drive an hour each way and then spoke with some that have moved and bought homes close to the property, One thing that is attractive in recruiting employees is that the homes and land are very affordable to purchase.

Bandon of the Midwest does not really work because Bandon has been used for USGA events

. Bandon Dunes has hosted several USGA events...Curtis Cup...Mid Am...Men's and Women's Pub Links and the 2020 U.S. Am. Sure, it has not hosted and won't ever host a U.S. Open, but that has never been a goal of Bandon Dunes - Amateur Golf !
