What's the one club you just can't seem to settle on?

For me I'm quite happy with my bag. I love My Mills putter, more then happy with my vokey sm4 wedges, my tour burner Taylormade irons despite pushing 10yrs old have never let me down, sldr hybrids have proved excellent and from day 1 have loved my titileist 910D2 driver.

 

However I have never been completely happy with any 3wd or 5wd. I currently have a 910 13.5 degree. And while I have hit some great shots with it I have never been in love with it.

 

I picked up a used 906f2 this week with the same ust proforce shaft that I play (and love) in my driver. And am hoping for the best in tomorrow's round. I have read that it's one of titleists more popular fairways of recent years...

 

So I ask the question what's that same club for you that you just can't seem to settle on?

6 Iron.

 

Can't settle on Blade or Players Cavity.

 

Hit both well. Cavity is definitely more forgiving. Hit them both with the same flight and shape. The Blade flies about 5 yards less.

 

Play the Blades 7-P. The 6 Cavity is the only Cavity in the bag. 5 is a Hybrid. The 6 Cavity kinda functions like a Driving Iron bridging the gap to the Hybrid.

 

I think I just talked myself into sticking with the Cavity. Lol.

The club to fill the gap between my 3HL and 3 hybrid. I'm a top of the bag ho, being a kinda short hitter having and PW, 52 & 58 work very well for me leaving room to play at the top. I have tried a V-Steel 5 wood, F6 Baffler and now just received shipment of 2017 M2 5 wood. Can't wait to hit that M2 5 wood this weekend and have great expectations.

My bag is pretty well set. The one club that I can't seem to settle on is the driver. It is an ever changing rotation from one driver to the next. I have had the ping g 30 in the bag for about a year , but since that fell out of favor I can't seem to find the right one.

I was having similar 'struggles' so I added a 6 hybrid (built to the same iron length) and now I can do as I please.

 

I have lots of confidence in my hybrids.

Was struggling to find a 220 club for a couple years, thinking an iron or hybrid would fit the bill. After lots of trial and error, picked up a 5 wood recently and the search is over!

Gap wedge for me. For some reason just can't seem to find one I hit well. I've used set gap wedges and non-set wedges as well. I am hoping the incoming SM6 fixes this.

Fairway woods. They all cause me trouble. I've decided to just use a driver and a hybrid instead for the rest of the year.

The issue is wedge combo...I like the 46-52-58, but as soon as I get into tournament I feel I need 46-50-54-58.....the rules allow us to carry 14 clubs, but I find 12 is good..3 wedges and no 3 wood

Same here. I've gone through so many drivers and putters over the years it's ridiculous.

 

I'm happy with my current offerings but the real test is if they can last a full season or more.

Hands down the driver. I had an Adams F12 LS in the bag for 3 years and started tinkering. I've still had the Adams in the bag, but in the last two years I think I've had 6 or 7 failed experiments. Each lasting about two weeks.

3 hybrid/5 wood spot for me. I fiddle here and there with other things, but this is the one spot I never stop tinkering with, and never can convince myself to commit too. I need a 215-225 ish club that works both off the deck and off the tee, because I absolutely NEED this distance for my home course.

I feel ya OP. I'm currently struggling with my whole bag...but also because my practice time has been so limited this year. My focus is definitely the 3W and wedges. The 3W is rotating between 3 choices and I can't settle on one. With the wedges I'm having issues with gapping. Must get fit soon so see if I can work out the kinks.

Driver. I had a biocell+ that had a flimsy feeling shaft so I banished it to the land of misfit toys. Waiting for someone to fall out of love with a G30 with a slightly heavier shaft before I give up and resign to the three wood life.

For me, it's the putter...and it's annoying because I'm playing the one that probably suits me best...maybe my brain is the club I can't settle on - lol. I play the Versa V-Line, but it's ugly and clumsy, and I hate the look of it. That said, I put pretty well with it on the course, and when I go to Golftown, the first thing I do is try putters - I do better with it than anything in the store, so it stays in the bag.

Driver. I play the G Ls Tec but I hate the feel and the sound. I also feel like I'm giving up some distance but I've convinced myself that its all worth it for the forgiveness. I'm starting to think I'd swing the club better if I enjoyed what I was using more. I'm very curious about the Epic.

maybe you should look at a 4 wood (or something around 17*)... you may find that you are able to hit it better.

I don't have as much desire to change clubs as I am very happy with my setup. The one thing I have not been able to settle on for months is a putter grip. I have gone from the stock deep etched, to a ping cord, to a Winn, to a lamkin non cord, it's endless.

 

This has been a bigger headache for me than changing clubs!

I have two. I can't really convince myself to stay with any particular driver. I've tried them all but right now I rotate an XR16 and XR16 Pro, both kicked the Epic SubZero out of the bag.

 

On top of that, I can't settle on a shaft for my 3w. Love the head (XR16) but shafts are in and out looking for the perfect one. Currently have Aldila Tour Blue, have a 2KXV Blue on the way to try.

 

I have a Proforce V2 in my XR16 5 wood and it's my favorite club in the bag, put a Proforce V2 in the 3 wood and hated it.
