Shaping up to be a really interesting Open Championship! Some awesome Euro, Asian, and US players are going to be battling it out across the pond and after the past three tourneys I wouldn't count Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, or Daniel Berger out. They will have their hands full with Westwood, Rose, Garcia, and Matsuyama.

Yup, shaping up to be a fun watch!

Good win, but some serious luck involved. 2 balls that should have been on the water that weren't. Tough break for Berger.

The dead choke pull into the tree was th best or worst ... Only Spieths ball would land in the fairway after that miserable tee shot

And the ' I just missed that putt ... whoops it went in' is pure Spieth

Enjoy because he has peaked and luck will run dry

Someone with a screen name mentioning Fred Couples complaining about lucky balls not in the water...

I'll retire to Bedlam.

Yes, yes. The Open!

My only regret is that drunken beach house does not aling with Open week this year.

Be great to see Casey win. He will be crying and hoist the jug up with his...

Seemed very humble during the interview after the win. Thanked his caddy Micheal and basically said he could not have done it without him. Also said that he felt very lucky and blessed to be able to play golf for a living as it was always his dream growing up. Pretty classy if you ask me.

Yea, some very lucky breaks but I'm a firm believer that hard work and perseverance creates luck.

Was an awesome watch. And the playoff - once that bunker shot went in Berger showed incredible sportsmanship and class after he saw that shot. And then, to top it off, he darned near made that putt!

In my book both of those "young guns" are top of the mark.

Anyone know if Berger will be playing in The Open Championship?

he said he would in the post round interview..

Jordan Spieth is a hungry winner. He also has some magic in him, plain and simple. He may not be the most talented pro, golf skills wise, but these are qualities I don't see as much in the other top guys.

He's the most skilled because he can win while hitting every club bad. Is there a club he wasn't struggling with today?

Jordan is a fantastic kid. His mental toughness seems to be one thing that sets him apart. He also has that "it" quality that the great ones have always had. He gets the ball in the hole when he needs to under the pressure of competition. There really is no greater compliment you can give a golfer.

Is there a club he wasn't struggling with today?

Sand Wedge :)

Nay, nay. He dumped that in the bunker on 18 in regulation.

Aha! Was not aware of that. So I'll change that to sand wedges out of the green side bunker on 18. ;)

He had 116 pin down wind (did not seem all that much to me). Announcers originally indicated lob wedge which seemed crazy to me. Speith isn't that long. They later changed the call to SW. Made much more sense.

That was a stretch on his part. I have a 58 degree that would require to much going after it I to get it to 116 even with the wind. Luckily he has a sand game that is top 3 this final round. I guess with the lie and the pin position, it seemed to be the right call. I guess it worked out the way it was intended.

Holes a bunker shot to snatch the win.

Club whip out of his hand.

Runs to caddie and nails a jumping body bump.

Caddie flings bunker rake into the air.

No robotic TOUR player here.

I loved it.

Jordan is always entertaining.

Muy Bueno!

It wasn't about just today. Golf at that level is a 4 day event. The first 3 days he was money. He didn't strike the ball nearly as well on the back 9 today, but still over 4 days nobody was better than him. That's what it is all about.

Correction. His ball striking on second shots was on point most of the day. He missed several birdies inside 10 feet.

Off topic but yes, who fits in those shoes??

I love UA sneakers, have 3 pairs, but all the golf shoes are just horrible. Maybe the most uncomfortable "High end" shoes I've ever put on my feet.

i hear miura makes his shoes and UA just brands them.

they're much softer than the retail versions.

There are some players that just have elegant, syrupy swings; effortless actions....Tom Purtzer for those that remember....and then you'll have the unorthodox move of Raymond Floyd, Daniel Berger, Jim Furyk or SPEITH.....but the golf ball knows impact. Golf is so much more than the "swing" ....short game, course management and self management are EQUALLY IMPORTANT! Butch wrote a book on it 10-15yrs back but so did Jack 40 yrs ago....yet we chose to overlook these factors as if all golfers are equal in these categories.

We all know the talented guy in school or the club that can hit it....you step back and ask , why can't this guy make it? But when a guy starts to separate himself from others , for one reason or another, we nitpick over the swing first and discredit short game, course management, self management and grinding.....that ability to not give a make a score despite poor striking.

Golf is about scoring, not aesthetically pleasing swings and folks this guy has it!
