Best golf team ever, by first name.

Inspired by this post at The Ringer, in which Shea Serrano attempts to build the best basketball team ever using only players who share the same first name, I was wondering who the best TWO MAN team in golf history would be.

 

You can see his rules there, but essentially, different spellings of the same name count (Sean & Shawn go together, Mike and Michael, Steve and Stephen are OK).

 

If a guy is KNOWN BY a name, that's his name. E.g. It's Tiger, not Eldrick. Not that there are any other Tiger's or Eldricks out there.

 

Let's say it's sort-of Ryder Cup style where the players play four matches :

• Fourball,
  
• Foursome (i.e. alternate shot),
  
• Two singles matches, and for fun. . .
  
• Two-man scramble

Started by thinking Jack Nicklaus then moved on to think who is the next best Jack and came up with Jack Burke so I'll start it with that combo!

I wanted to go with Sam Snead, because I figure there has to be another great golfer in history with the name Sam, but my google search resulted in diddly.
