My history with this is brief. In fact it started about an hour ago when the mailman came. I'm going to start some history with it tonight though. 9 holes after work.

Yep, I loved this one and his putters from this series were all excellent

Have a nice weekend?

As a collector of 8802 styles I thought I'd add my fave old one to this thread.

An Old Master W802 that has certainly seen many, many greens.

My history with her is only brief. She is in my 8802 "rotation". But that means her outings with me are minimal so far.

Here are some pics of her. The last photo is of her and her sister that I polished up from the same original state. Drop dead gorgeous she is.

Btw, great idea for a thread. I might add some other putters in future :)

Yeppers, love that 8802?

THE 8802, which I bought myself for my 16th birthday in 1976 and bagged off and on for 32-33 of the next 36 years, including the last six months of '12, my last in the game.

Madison took it from my hospital room and had Mr. Palmer sign it shortly before his passing, my only autograph on anything by anyone, and ironically he actually bagged it for a round in the mid 90's when his putter head fell off prior to a round at our club. He actually putted ok with it, lol.

Anyhoo, it's obviously retired and next to it is the latest 8802 release, the double face milled, slightly larger example(as evident by the nickel test, lol).

It feels great though I'm gonna miss THE 8802, lol

Who knows, maybe I can find another on the bay. I've gotta lot of the 8802 designs however for me, there's only one 8802, and that's THE 8802?

Stay well Gals & Gents?

My lovely 9306. The putter is about 20 years old. A long time Kevin Burns fan, I didn't even know it existed until a couple of years ago. There is a seller on the bay who has a bunch of them brand new that he sells from time to time. I now have two.

And THE original VIP Ironmaster Mode 600 that Miura-san borrowed from to design both the 008 and the earlier released 350.

This was in my rotation till I lost it in a closet during the winter of 2011 and I was convinced that someone lifted it from my locker, lol

Madison found it cleaning out my closets this past winter, haha.

She's a God send?

Mac made some killer flatsticks

The Mac VIP TFP 90-2, the hand made forged(along with the Ironmaster above) blade that was a replica of the George Low Wizard 600 that Jack used for 16 or his 18 majors.

What's really cool is the grip is Top-Shelf leather as I've taken care of it and conditioned it a few times a year and this was long before any of these larger mid-size grips however these had a larger wrap than the putters of their time and I had a similar matching wrap done for my 8802 for about 12-13 years till it wore out and my putter guy passed and then it was back to the standard rubber grips, lol.

I've now got one of those Mac VIP's in my collection Richard. On the right of this line up. I'll post some pics on her own sometime. Hasn't got the you-beaut grip like yours though.

Last week I had my best putting round in ages with that very club.

(edit - is yours a 90-2? Looks like it in the photos. Think there were 1,2,3 & 4 in the series.)

Here's another of my old mature sticks. A Cobra CNC Classic. Before and after pics (I've polisher her up prior to gun-bluing, but not sure if I'll do that step now. She looks gorgeous as is).

She is also in the above pic.

My 8843, one of my putters in my regular rotation, which is basically to blade putters what the MP-14's were to blade irons, there ain't a whole lotta metal on either side of the ball but damn, does it have a great feel. An amazing putter, second only to my 8802.

All the Best,

An Oldie but goody-

One of the first run forged examples~

And the putter that Ben went to when the head of his 8802 fell off on the practice green pre-tourney of his epic second green jacket-

Harvey was Ben's Pete and he looked out for him

The third putter in my rotation in '12-

This baby can rock 'n roll with any blade out today-

Napas????

Paleeeeze??

I've got three, one a T, and they didn't see the light of day, much less my bag, LMAO

Nice putters all though for me, they didn't touch this one, the 8843 or the latest 8802 example.

It's an individual thing?

Plus, I think that the Scotster's later retail stuff, from 2005 on, is waaaaay overrated(and over priced, lol)

Stay well Gents?

Picked up this putter the other day. The interesting design caught my eye. But was unfamiliar with Zevo. A Z-Blade Four, Sean Toulon Design, LN plumbers, single dot alignment aid. The shaft label says "Custom Fitted", "Precision Milled". Feels about 340'ish in weight. A few battle scars, but nothing to bad. At 34.5" a little short for my requirements, but easily rectified. To my eye, there's lot to like with the overall head shape and worth a $5 investment.

Research indicates Zevo (Toulon) was a putter brand during the 90's. Then moved on to TM and then formed his own company again. Before being acquired by Cally.

Thought I'd post ITT just for the heck of it. See if anyone will add additional insight or commentary. I've taken some practice putts with it on the basement carpet practice green and it rolls pretty nice. Thinking I'll throw it in the bag for trial the next time out. Just because. Crappy cell phone pics, but the best I got this morning. Actually looks "cleaner" than it appears:

Unmarked Scotty Cameron 'Private Reserve No.4' Prototype and one of the original boxes. Made for the Japanese market in 1992; 125 of each of the 4 models and this is the only Proto I have ever seen. I included photo of the original signed box for folks that may not have seen or even heard of them - the putter comes in at about 360g headweight and is a great gamer.

Nothing special, just the Staff version of the 8802, though this was in my bag in '76 when I bought myself the 8802 above for my BDay. Pete gave me this in 1974 and I used it for a few years then in the closet it went. I remember pulling it out and using it a few rounds though I never really warmed to it, nothing like the 8802.

Have a nice evening/day Gals & Gents?

I had a few Mizzy/Bettis, not because I was that familiar with Betti, cuz I wasn't, however my fondness for Mizzy led to to get a few of these BC's and I still used this 2 when I swapped designs. That insert feels nice.

Great sticks Richard. I posted an early BC1 on here somewhere a while ago and agree with you: Carbon, nice insert, good weight - lots to like about that early collaboration. :-)
