Age is creeping up on me.

I'm 68 years old, but still hit it pretty well. I do stretching stationary bike riding and weights a few times a week. I also hit a lot of range balls. There is such a thing as golf muscles. Fitting your shafts is critical. I have stiff shafts in all my clubs. I am still in the 100-105 swing speed with the driver and I keep a moderate tempo. Even with decent clubhead speed for my age, I may be a regular flex in some shafts. I have the TT XP 115 shafts in my irons I have the S300. Based on what you are describing you are a much better player than many players much younger than you. I think you are probably on the cusp of the regular flex. The advantages you will get with a regular flex is lighter weight, more feel, and more distance with less effort. The key is finding the right shaft. Getting fit for the right shafts are critical. You may get fit for a stiff shaft in your woods and regular in your irons. Don't worry about your age, it's just a number.

I turned 63 in April and recovering from surgery on my right leg. I got a late start to the season and haven't really played to my 6 handicap consistently although there have been some good rounds. I'll shoot even par for 9 holes and then go 41 (or worse) on the back but I attribute that to not being in golf shape yet. The biggest thing I noticed was about a 10 yard loss of distance off the tee and about 1/2 club with irons. It's hard to say if it's from getting my leg opened up or just getting older. For now I'm believing the former and not the latter.

In any case, I went to get a driver fitting yesterday to see if there is something that was a better fit than the 2016 M1 I have now. It was outdoors with a Callaway staffer using a launch monitor. I was not surprised to see that I'd lost about 10 mph of swing speed, and down to 94 from 104. Kind of depressing, but it is what it is. Smash factor was consistent at 1.48 and ball speed was about 140. I tried several drivers including the Epic with different shafts and flexes. It was interesting that everything gave me close to the same numbers as my M1. S flex was still better and straighter than R flex. The guy said to just keep what I have but at least I know it's (still) the right fit, something I'd questioned.

I just turned 50 but I'm beat to s%*t from my past adventures. I'm fighting it, though. Certainly give yoga a thought, or at least a steady stretching program. Basic strength training helps as we age, too. Your swing speed is fine - same as mine is now. Also, don't forget to chase mama around the house. That's one of my secret fitness activities...
