I could rephrase that in commentator-speak as "she's not afraid to go low". But you need to go low four times.... or lowish and very low... something like that....

 

But that applies to all of them - Nelly, Lexi, Gerina.... At least we know Lexi can do it but she's been up and down lately, hardly surprising with what's happening in her life.

Sure, comes from scoring low. But I see he clarified it as she can go low but needs to avoid the round that takes her out of contention.

I really enjoy the ladies game but have become more and more convinced they need to somehow get host courses to make the set up more penal. Right now they are probably half way between member/public play and what I would like to see. The week after week of -16 to -20(or better) winning shows how good they are compared to most of us, including the legendary wrx 4, but I would like to see more variety.

So this might be worth it's own thread, but I'll ask it here: do you really believe "it's just a matter of time" before Gerina Piller wins?

 

I'd love to see her win, but I'm not sure I'd bet on it. She's in her 30's and each year the LPGA fields get stronger and winning is hard. I just don't believe that cliche.

BTW, did anybody notice Sung Hyun playing TaylorMade clubs? She was playing Ping last year. Doesn't she know that changing clubs is bad for your game? Oh, wait. She has also changed caddies several times this season. Why doesn't that have its own thread?

There's another golfer out there called SYP that has all the winning ways of SYR and SHP together in one body. That's definitely worth its own thread.

I don't believe it either. I think people say it to feel better. Gerina is a solid earner but doesn't deal with pressure well at all. At the Solheim Cup, after she made the winning putt she was an inconsolable mess. Imagine if she had missed.

Is it possible that Gerina's self worth isn't built around whether she wins a tournament? I have no doubt she'd like to win, but as someone who acknowledges that she's a sinner saved by grace (just check out her Twitter), I suspect it's not the most important thing in her life.
