Why do People Sell an item receive payment and not send it!!!

Sorry forum but this one rubbed me the wrong way. 3 wood head purchased on the 15th and after a couple of OBO's the seller accepted my offer. I sent payment after he sent his paypal info. Waited a few days after no contact on his part regarding shipping info. Comes back to me and says he was busy etc. I give him the benefit of the doubt as everybody is "busy" so I give more time to pack the 3 wood head mind you not a golf club so not requiring a particular box and still nothing. Then he comes at me today with sorry I am yet again too busy and tells me he doesn't know when he can send it out. What seller has the time to put up an AD and suddenly to busy to send the item. People need to stop wasting people's time especially when you are quick enough to take my money.

Ultimately, it comes down to communication. As long as the seller was upfront BEFORE you paid about not being able to ship the club then at least you can make an informed decision on whether you want to buy it. If the seller communicates after you need to message him a few times, then that is not acceptable. With technology and the ease of printing labels at home with pick up, it's hard to imagine that he can't spend a few minutes to get that done. It literally takes a few clicks from PayPal and a label will be printed out!

This is why I always try to package my stuff up as soon as I'm done taking pictures. That way just print off a label slap it on the box and drop it off all in 15 mins.

That's ridiculous. And yeah, as far as I'm concerned post his username so he can be added to the ever-growing block list. Blows my mind how people can act like that. Sounds like he's had the better part of a week to ship out a tiny box.

 

And to answer your question, they're either a crook, lazy, or had a legitimate emergency which put all else on the back-burner. In my experience, those kind of emergencies are rare and it certainly doesn't sound like this is one of them.

Personally if I post an add, have time the take pics and make posting, then those items are ready to be shipped as well. I always try at least by the next day but if I know I won't be able to get to post office for a couple days I let the buyer know that upfront to make sure they are ok with that.

To clarify, I sent payment on the 15th and no shiiping info sent so I pm'd him on the 17th. He states he has been super busy and says he can send a refund if I want. I say no i want it shipped and ask why he is asking if I am interested in a refund. He says well people on here expect a refund if not shipped within 24 hours. So i give him the benefit of the doubt and say just send shipping when you ship. So no communication from that point on until today when he says he is again busy with something else and now doesn't know when he can ship. I was like ???!!

I really want it and that's why I paid more than I wanted to pay. But if he does not communicate and has my money, I'm worried he will keep my money and not send it anyways.

there are a lot in inconsiderate deadbeats out there, that are quick to take money but slow and lazy to ship. If it's been 5 biz days since payment was received and the item has still not shipped, that's unacceptable. Start a list, call these people out: call it the "Sellers of Shame" list

I've dealt enough on here and have my feedback as my backup. He did not have much of a feedback score but we all start somewhere and the 3 wood head is "tour only" so i figured he is or has some connection to the industry and deals with people enough. Just irritated that I waited this whole time, then had to hit him up and left feeling like I was inconveniencing him. What a joker and yes I can send the seller name.

Post username please.. seems like there is more to the story of why he's stalling..I would say send tracking or refund and leave appropriate feedback. It makes no sense to post an item for sale and then say I can't find the time to ship it. 6 days is too long!!

Is it not a problem that this jackwagon can't/won't tell him when he'll ship? There's no reason why he can't get to a freaking post office or set the shipment up for pickup. If there is, I'd like to hear what it is. I really doubt it's a reasonable excuse.

I agree the guy should have shipped and that he is acting like a jackwagon. After the second time saying he couldn't say when he would ship I would have taken the refund, started the DND thread about it, named him and moved on.

I can't disagree that may be the best route at this point even if it's a crappy option. I just read your previous comment as saying he shouldn't have started a DND thread.

I didn't want to make the seller ship me the head since it would be taking a chance on my part especially since he has my money already. I took refund of my money and left him negative feedback. Just a heads up for anyone dealing with this guy.

Sorry to out you but when you are excited to take money from buyers so quickly and yet do not return the favor and at the minimum communicate, you really have no place on a site like this.

Now send him a PM with a link to this thread and let him know there are repercussions for not following through.

I actually had an encounter with this seller couple weeks ago. Had a driver listed on bst for sale which i bought and paid asap and no not gifted. That was a Friday i believe and sent me tracking ups on saturday. So that monday i get a refund in my paypal then a pm from the seller saying he came in that morning and club was missing from his shop. I said well you sent me tracking saturday and his response he just printed the label and apoligized. Then couple days later he pm me saying he located and asked if i still wanted. So before you guys ask i did cause i was getting for the old man and item did come in with same tracking numbers although note when shipping a driver it would be nice to put the cover on the head and not laying in the box with nothing protecting the head.

just doesn't sound like he's worth the hassle to deal with, I've come to realize someone else will usually have what you're looking for so no need to deal with any user with red flags

That is the thing, when I initially hit him up 2 days after the sale, he comes back at me with do you want a refund. I was like why would you start the conversation with do you want a refund. I was like I want what I purchased. I said I have 4 kids and work full time so I understand being busy so I gave him Friday and Saturday to figure things out. So no communication through the weekend and suddenly this morning when I was hit with hey I am busy again and not sure when I can ship??????????. Then I felt like I was being given the run around until I get fed up enough to file a dispute which I should have done with PayPal but didnt. I have great contact and experiences with both sellers and buyers who are club ho's and those who have the good stuff from friends on tour and up till now if I had issues we would work them out to where both sides are happy. In this case, I was going to say my negative feedback was enough but if he continues to do this then this is a heads up that the forum as well as the moderators know your game and its looked badly upon on this site.

Then he went off and made up some story about how I was scamming him and never even intended to ship the head and just needed his PayPal money to buy another club. Then within 2 minutes I refunded his money as I no longer wanted to deal with him.

 

I am not saying that not being able to ship out the read was ok on my part but him trying to make up a story about what he thinks happened is wrong as well.

I have had many successful deals on here just not many people seem to like to leave feedback and I also have 50+ positive feedback on eBay so this is not how I like to conduct business.

This in a nutshell is what's wrong with society. Just apologize and move on, instead it sounds like you're trying to play the victim card when it was you that had the op's money AND club. You didn't send the club, you can make up a million excuses why but you didn't fulfill your obligation in this deal, the rest of it is just an excuse to make yourself feel better

I bought a Tensei Pro White 80TX from him. I thought it odd he never posted on his ad that it was SOLD but just left it open. I got a good price on it, but was only $10 less than his asking.

 

I waited 3 days for shipping info, got frustrated he didnt' provide it so I asked, he read it right away and never replied. After 2 more days, I messaged him again. Finally replied and said there was a notification for him to call the postal service. The box was apparently crushed and destroyed in shipping and he was going to have to refund me. I did get the refund, so I just moved on. I thought it was fishy and he got another offer and just sold it elsewhere.

So with what I read, you said I made up the story when in your first sentence outed yourself as to the why I or anybody who has dealt with you would react the way I did. Just keep reading your first sentence over and over and hopefully it will sink in. If not, then I don't know what to tell you. If you are so "busy" why even sell the item in the first place. If 6 days isn't enough time to ship it the how long. You never even give me a time frame. When some one says I don't know when I would be back this week how do you expect me to react as the buyer when you already have my money. True?
