Good point, but I'm sticking with HoganHo for now!

 

The clubs are incredible. The feel and turf interaction are amazing--Patrick was really able to nail the grind (executed to perfection by Don White) incredibly well via our multitude of email conversations about my swing, my typical course conditions, etc.

 

I will post some pics of the irons in a few days--They'll have about 8 rounds on them by then.

Thinking back, I should have ordered a few extra wedges too. I think mine are about 10 years old now. Beat to hell, but they still work and I can't find any other wedge with the same shape.

Having read most threads on Don White's work I think it is safe to say that you can give Patrick a call and ask for a wedge with the exact same specs as your old wedge and Don will be able to make it (probably still has all the design details for your clubs archived somewhere).

Nope, no way they cannot. Scratch tried to match a standard grind for me 3 times and they were not even close!!!! I emailed Patrick when this company started up and he would not work with because of this! Crazy.......

I'm sorry but this is blatantly and completely false. Jeff, the grind that you sent us was a retail wedge that was HEAVILY modified by you. Scratch had it replicated for you over and over by 2 of the world's most talented grinders. These 2 guys replicated clubs over and over again for players like Jack Nicklaus, Cristie Kerr, etc the list is EXTREMELY long. These players all praise their work but it was never good enough for you. You were that one customer that everyone dreded dealing with. You were rude, unreasonable, impossible to please, extremely demanding, often beligerant. Literally the worst customer we had in 13 years and it's not close. THAT is why Patrick would not work with you. Everyone is in business to make money but sometimes some people are not worth dealing with regardless of the money. You are one of those people.

You should talk to Patrick Boyd specifically about the cost of something you may have in mind as it varies (I believe) based on the raw materials and the extent of the grind work that Mr. White will have to do.

 

The wedges that were offered through Sugarloaf Social Club were $300 per head to give you some idea...

 

They are certainly more expensive than most OEM heads, but the quality and the custom fit of the actual clubhead cannot be matched by an "OEM".
