Wilson FG Tour f5 irons

Anyone have experience with these? Haven’t played Wilson's for a long time and I can get a new set of these at a decent price.

Yes, they are fantastic feeling irons. Great performance, great forgiveness. They are a bit ugly but the long irons are the best in the game. The undercut at the bottom of the cavity makes it so there’s no such thing as a thinned long iron. Which makes them stupid easy to hit. They are kind of big, and quite ugly, but the feel is butter and the results are there. I had Them for a year, recently got Z765.

I tried them , was not impressed with the feel or distance. The FG Tour V6 is a much better club.

Really nice irons but totally overlooked. Only downside is the stock shaft and complete lack of no cost upgrades. One of the online retailers had them on a couple of days ago at $450 with an additional 30% off, they're an absolute steal at that price. If you can live with the DG XP stock shaft I would highly recommend them.

Easier to hit than V6. People overlook that, but the F5 is more forgiving.

Been playing with them for a season now. I agree that the long irons are stupid easy to hit. Every iron set I've ever had I've always severely struggled with the 4 and 5 irons. After this season my 4 iron is my favorite club. The v6 is a better club, but when you're on a budget finding the f5's mint on ebay for $200 will do just fine. Very good feel if they are your first forged iron, especially in the long irons. I know exactly where on the face I hit the ball every shot. Weak lofts, but I didn't lose much distance. Spin in the short irons is good too. I consistently find my ball 6 feet behind my divot on par threes. Overall, they're a very good iron set for a player looking to transition from GI's to player's irons.

The F5 is a players GI similar to the Apex, comes with a lighter detuned DG XP shaft and works for a broader range of ability. Wilson's V irons (V4, V6) fall squarely into the players category with smaller less forgiving heads and real DG shafts.

Do these irons take .355 or .370 tip shafts? I have a set and they are argubly as soft as my mp-54s. Got them new off ebay for $280
