ZX4 mkii are in for 7-AW .. the 6i is battling my zu85 for a spot in the show

 

higher and longer and straighter than s55, better misses as well … hard to argue with that

 

really good sole grind for my Bermuda fairways in Florida as well

GT2 driver now in full time after discovering ZF50tx to be a $$$ combo

 

11 degree head turned down 3/4* and also flatter fwiw 

 

oh, I also found an older Callaway 24* driving iron near new for $40 … and loving it … fade biased for me anyways

Nice!  That ZF is awesome!  It’s the perfect soft x driver shaft.

Grabbed a Srixon ZXi U 23* head today (traded in one of my jailbird cruisers).  Nice match to my ZX4 irons … which I love more and more every time I play 

 

will test against the old Cally x prototype DI 24* I recently got for $40

I have very much enjoyed my original ZX utility. It feels so hot off the face but goes the distance I need. Great workability and trajectory as well. Hope it works out for you

Card, you may have peaked my interest in a 21* ZXiU. I’m just curious what shaft I’d put in it. My 3 hybrid is flying high as can be, which is great, but if I need something more piercing, I’ve got to look elsewhere. I feel like my 230 club just needs to be something I can elevate if needed but flight down. I haven’t been able to flight a hybrid low enough to deal with the wind we play in. I’ll keep the hybrid to swap out in different locations but for the most part, I’m in need of something like that driving iron.

Grabbed these two this morning, had enough trade in $$ at PGASS - with the 50% Callaway bonus - that it only cost me $40

 

like the dual weights and adj 5w this year in the Elyte Ti’s  … tour head copies from the AI smoke basically

The 3w came in 70x Denali charcoal … so will test for a bit

5w, 70s .. Will drop in a green smoke 70tx I have

 

hit them at the range before playing today … awesome thru the turf, easy to elevate, great feel/sound

Picked up the 440lst driver and 17* four wood earlier today

 

i can tell you that after 30 minutes of drivers at my range … I feel this could be the one to displace the 400lst 

 

need to throw the proper tips on some of my shaft stash and see if it’s as good as I think it is

 

great acoustics and stable across the face 

 

I like that I can add loft while flattening 

 

just wants to go straight, easy to hit fades

How’s the 4 wood compare to your Elyte Ti’s or Ping G400?

The 4w is coming out low as I bought I with the wrong shaft.  Only 4w on hand

Acoustics not as good as driver

will try a couple of my stock shafts and if not to my liking I will do the 90 day trade for something that is high launch and low spin off the deck … stg mixuno?  Qi35?  Open to ideas

my g400 7w is not going anywhere

I’ve yet to find anything as consistently straight and distance wise than the Ping’s. Tried the Mizuno Stz 230 and I’d get some that popped longer but it wasn’t as straight and wasn’t as consistent on distance. Tried a few others since the Ping g425 and g430’s came out and I always go back to them and they feel like it’s cheating almost.

 

Not sure on STG but my guess is it’ll be good, longer and hotter, but I’ve seen nothing as straight as the Ping’s since the G425.

Those Ti heads are insanely HOT. I had the 5 wood head and found it to be a bit too much for the gap I wanted between my drive, 3/4 wood, and utility. They perform, though. Goodness.

really curious how the STG is. I’ve tried the STZ 230 and it was just ok compared to my Ping’s.

Well I hit an incredible 3w off the deck today, 235 into a 2 club wind to 11 feet

its turned up to 16* fwiw

has a diff feel than other woods 

 

the shaft in it partners up well with my beloved PX 6a4 7.0 driver shaft
