That's pretty impressive. Black, Red, Blue. Can't say I've seen anybody successfully pull off one of each color. That Black 5x has had my attention for a while now. Too cowardly to give it a go.

Tighter … but believe it or not … actually softer feeling to me … 5x black vs 6x red in drivers … is what I am talking about

 

think I’m grabbing a 5x black TR tomorrow … supposedly feel even softer

Interesting. The Black 5x vs Red 6x in Driver is the comparison I was looking for.

Red in 3w makes sense, easier to launch off deck

 

blue for me is tightest .. so ideal for 5w .. or 7w if I switch that in for certain tracks

Ventus Black 5x TR going in the driver tomorrow

Early reporting back in, the Fuji Ventus black 5x TR driver shaft is incredible … 13/14 fairways today … also a little smoother than the OG

 

Very easy to hit my stock draw … and here’s the bonus, I was actually able to hit a few reliable fades  

 

As an added bonus, on 3 holes today I hit the longest drive I’ve ever hit on those particular holes

More tweaks in the last 3 days …

 

- i210 6 iron in place of Ping 6h (man oh man the 210’s feel incredible)

- whiteboard 63x into 7w, which I just added back into bag

- blueboard shaft into old faithful 5h (to match 4h shaft)

- dropped the 3w

 

the real highlite was shooting 67 today, with 6 birdies and an eagle. PB.  Some nice cash collected in our Thurs game

Ping iCrossOver into the bag, pretty good so far 

have dropped the 7w temporarily 

64* wedge now in full time

5h and 6h on vacations abroad

- Have gone full Ventus in the woods, trying 5s in driver vs 5x

- 3w lofted weak vs 5w

- 7w back in play 

- s55 seven iron back in bag .. shaft snapped on the i210 seven 

 

icrossover feels and performs way better now with a Aldila NVS 85x pink 350 shaft tipped vs the ping 85 tour it came with, more kick, more feel, more height

 

big debate is getting new irons, steelfiber 110s are causing a 6 week delay at Ping due to the small ID of the shift’s tip and the tip weights Ping needs

 

looking at i530 in the 5 and 6 .. then blending in power spec 7-pw in Blueprint S

Flipped g430 max 3 w into AI smoke triple diamond 15* with Denali x, awesome sim numbers

 

put a 430 tip on my smoke green 70tx to test in 430 10k driver

 

lots of experimenting to get thru when I get back to Canada in 72hrs

 

oh and have to rebuild the blueprint S irons with recoil 125 protos, testing iomic navy mid grips, and some cool new ferrules … that will be fun 

 

have been hitting some friends irons with mid size and enjoy them, even greenside

Goodness, just back from a long range session and the AI smoke triple diamond 3w turned up to 17* is simply incredible.  I was literally in love after one swing.  Feel and looks.  
 

(Gotta get the right shaft into my Ping 430 10k driver so it’s a carbon crown party in the bag)

 

Has the denali 70g 6.5 in it … very anti-left … easy to launch … no ballooning … very solid even off of very firm tight lies which I don’t love with fairway woods traditionally 

 

i wish the matching 7w also had an adjustable hosel (maybe for the tour guys?)

Best fairway wood Callaway has put out in a VERY long time.

spent 2hrs at Ping yesterday 2 days ago dialing in club yardages and checking iron lofts and lies etc etc 

 

notes in random order …

Back to the g400max driver, shaft shouldn’t fit me but it does

 

Apache neon orange shaft back in the 5h, should’ve never experimented

 

seems AWT 2.0 is what I need in my blueprints, not the recoil 125’s

 

i heard that really high AoA and teeing it very high suits my older drivers better

 

had to really flatten and strengthen my i210 6 and 7 irons .. no more left misses, 8 was a little off also

 

funnily enough I had 4 clubs where I called my carry within 1.5 yards … 7i, 4h and 5h and 7w

 

guess I’m stuck with older gear 

 

fwiw … hit 13 of 14 fairways the last two days and threw down a 69 and 70

Fit into a AI smoke triple diamond max driver today, great gains

107 swing, 2200 spin at 18* launch, AoA +3.5*, 1.5* inside out, almost 270 carry

800 bucks out the door

 

another 800 on a black LAB mezz max at 46” … another 800 CDN

 

shaft juggled an AD IZ 5x into my 3w for nice carry gains as well,

 

overall, great Friday wins for Father’s Day weekend

Went with the Max triple diamond driver set at N and +1 .. 5g weight front and 12g rear, d7 swingweight at 46”

 

back to ventus black 5x in both driver and 3w (TR in driver)

 

threw a blue ventus 6x in an old GBB 7w and it displaced my old g400

 

lots of Cally at top end of bag now

 

Currently looking at

- Jailbird 38”

- tour issue triple diamond 5w (I really REALLY enjoy the feel of the new Callaway stuff)

Two driver shafts inbound for my smoke max TD … Fubuki tour 73x, used to loooove this in a 910d2 .. and a Kuro Kage 60x silver 5th Gen 

 

going to try my ZF 50tx in the 2016 m2 driver head, ss the 60x is good in it 

 

trying to find an original ion flower band Diamana blue 63x and 83x for driver and 7 wood

 

Ping rebuilding my blueprint S’s … awt 2.0’s with cushin, +3/4”, orange dots, swing weights from d5 in 5 iron to E0 in PW, power spec lofts

 

i did find a 60* Ping tour W in a TS sole and will try that in firm conditions 

 

debating going old school a12 proto Adams in a 23* 4h … my ZU85’s in 5 and 6 iron having me playing around with the 4h spot in my bag (215 yards) as the flattened zu85 five iron has come alive and displaced my beloved OG 26* Apex 5h

Ping in the USA is also repairing my old reliable and long 400LST head,  the 18g tungsten sole weight had let go and vanished

400 LST in 10 degree - with Fubuki tour 73x - back in the saddle.  Set on little plus.

 

hit 14 fairways today

 

may need be as deep as Smoke but way straighter

 

i think, could be wrong, that deeper faced drivers that are also not as long head to toe suit me better … easier to square up

 

when I did my 430 max 10k fitting the fitter commented that I needn’t make such positive AoA swings with the new tech .. but I’ve grooved that old move me thinks
