December Golf- How late in the season were you able to play?

Nashville here, I could play today if I wanted, although its a little wet. Gonna play in Memphis on thursday and will be in LR over the weekend, probably play at least once there.

Vancouver island bc. Played friday and yesterday at a couple courses id never played. Was nice and sunny friday. Yesterday was cold and windy but course was in unreal shape for december. Going to try and play this weekend if we dont get snow.

Played the day after thanksgiving here in Micjigan. It's been brutally cold and snowy the last couple of weeks.

Played last Saturday 54degrees and will be playing again today as it will be 68*.

But two weekends ago we got a foot of snow!

Winter in western North Carolina means rounds of golf in comfortable conditions here and there.

Southwestern corner of South Dakota. We are usually done by October to November. Up to Wednesday of this week, I might have a sudden illness at work. It will require me to go chase a little white ball around in order to overcome the illness. With my normal weekend 4-some, we got out on Dec. 9th & 10th. One par 3 green was snow covered, so we just take a par or bogey (dependent on how the round is), & move on. It was the latest anyone has know for our course to still be open. End of last week all the greens were sanded with pins placed out in the fairways. So now done until spring. If a weekend is warm enough, you can get out & play to the pins in the fairway.

 

I hate temporary greens!

Central NH - last day I played was Nov 9th. Had a break in the weather and could have gotten out around the 19th to 21st but was fighting a bug at the time. Now it's indoors only until the spring.

Last I played was the 1st weekend of Dec... the past few weekends I haven't, my boys caught the bad cough going around, which, of course, they passed on to me and to top it off, it has been really cold (talking about what temp. "Feels like" as reported on the weather channel app... my cut point is 35*-37*, anything less is a "no") & if not, then raining!

Hot Springs Thanks for asking! Right with you, hate the "winter" pins. However, it is at least something to shoot at. Just looked at the 10 day forecast. Wednesday is it, then done :boredom:

Just south of you (150 miles or so). Southern Hills? Still haven't been there since they added the second nine. Maybe next summer, drop mom at Prairie Winds and slip over and play! 60*'here tomorrow, 17*'Thursday.

Walked 18 today, with my 5-club winter bag. It was a not so windy 52°, and quite soft course conditions. The parking lot was full when I got there, only two cars left when I finished (at dusk). Just me and the geese on #18.

GORGEOUS warm day at Birdwood CC, Charlottesville, Va. Nice dormant fairways (I like 'em), faaast greens. Shot exactly my handicap for the round. Putting like a magician, hitting fairway woods like I was swinging with the club in my mouth. Eesh. Very grateful to have played today.

Blackwood, played Valleybrook yesterday, 58 degrees, a little windy, course was dry. Temps are really crashing after Christmas though, no more golf for awhile.

Played at Potomac Shores GC yesterday, great day 66*, shot +1, it is a very testy and challenging course, you will hit every club in your bag...loved it!!!

As I said above, I played yesterday. I played with a foursome including my father-in-law who is 76. He tore his Achilles two weeks ago and wears a huge plastic boot 24/7. He played in the boot and shot really well.
