Hold the phone, the 435 is no longer for sale. Reshafted it today and was getting ball speeds I've never seen before. Still have a ZY7 and the Labospec on the way to try to also.

I feel like Jbeam kinda ripped off PRGR with that high toe design. None the less, that Bullet is a damn good looking long stick. I have always wondered if that high toe exacerbates toe droop :D

I was thinking more of my old trusty Adams 9015d for a high toe look...

A lower profile head with the COG further away from the shaft ( vs deep face ) would make toe droop worse - but get a nunchuk shaft and forget about toe droop altogether ;-)

Adams.....

Got the JBeam Bullet delivered today and I think it looks pretty good. I've never been crazy about the ketchup and mustard color scheme but it's not that big of a deal and I can always change that easily.

Looking forward to getting it out on the range to see how it performs, especially with the Fujikura Speeder Platinum shaft.

Which loft did u get ???? Anxiously waiting for the review on this one. I used to game the ZY-11 and this looks like a nice replacement. Is your Bullet foamed ??

I have to get the loft measured since JBeam doesn't put lofts on their clubheads. It was used so the seller didn't know the loft. Admittedly it was a bit of a gamble but I'll see how it performs. It might be better that I don't know, especially if I hit it really well.

The Bullet head isn't foamed and has the potential to be a little loud based on bouncing a few golf balls off of it. I had to add some hotmelt to my Crazy FX BM-435 to calm down the head some but I could easily add some polyfil through one of the weight ports if the sound is too annoying.

I'll agree that the BM 435 looks closed to me but I just open it a tad and all is forgiven as I think it's a gorgeous driver head. I use it anytime I play below 50* f. because I don't have to worry about busting another composite head. With an added 14g. of hot melt and a Black TP7HD this 9* BM-435 turned into Beast Mode. It's a workable, wind-fighter, that hits the ground running like a scalded dog.

I've recently built a 10* ZY-11 with an XXPHLEXX Agera Red Stripe. I've only had a small range session due to weather conditions but it seems a little more controllable (may just be the extra loft) and runs out a little more. Anxiously awaiting a 60* day to put it through its paces.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

I have a ZY-11 shafted with a Crazy LY-01 and a Crazy FX BM-435 shafted with a Fubuki Alpha 70. The Bullet is going to have to perform very well in order to unseat those two. Especially the ZY-11 since it sounds/feels so good being a foamed head.

435 Blackout still in the bag.

Got a ZY7, great head just doesnt quite get up in the air enough for me. Very low spin and long. Someone with a higher launch could just kill this thing.

435 Blackout is close to perfect. Have another head being made to spec and foamed. Would love to try the Bullet but I don't know if I could tame that beast.

Soooooooooo.......any updates on the Jbeam Bullet ???? Launch monitor data. : )

No unfortunately not. I haven't even hit it yet due to the weather here in Nashville. If it's not snowing it's raining and has been this way for a while. I will try and get out to Golf Galaxy to use the monitor to at least see what numbers it might put up this weekend hopefully. Couldn't do it this past weekend due to the wife's birthday.

I'm sorry 03trdblack, I selfishly want you to get your ovaries out on that snowy wet grass and hit that damn driver so we can get a report :D

When I moved to Nashville, I fully expected better winter weather than we've had this year.....I want my money back.

Drive down I-24 to Sweetens Cove the ball runs like crazy out there in the fwy the Bullet would go for miles...........

If you do make sure to show it to Patrick in the pro shop.......

Finally had a good weather day and I was able to get out to the range to hit the Bullet. I also brought out my Crazy FX BM-435 and JBeam ZY-11 to compare. It was a fun comparison all the way around. Here's how each are set up:

Crazy FX BM-435 w/ Mitsubishi Fubuki Alpha 70 S flex - 44.5" w/ hotmelt

JBeam ZY-11 w/ Crazy Regenesis Longest Yard 01 SR flex - 45"

JBeam Bullet w/ Fujikura Speeder Platinum S flex - 45.5"

No launch monitor numbers yet but I'm hoping to get some tomorrow if possible. The 3 drivers aren't set up exactly the same but I can still give impressions of each. I also have a driver loft measuring device coming so I can verify each of the lofts. Once I do I'll add the measurements.

First swing with the Bullet was high toe impact which I'm guess is what this club was designed for.

Quick Comparisons:

Sound/Feel:

Crazy 435 - Sound has been muted heavily due to the hotmelt that was added. Has a deep metallic thump to it and much more solid feel now

ZY-11 - Crisp metallic crack due to the foamed head

Bullet - Tinny and hollow sounding and the worst sounding of the 3. That doesn't mean it sounds or feels bad in any way but compared to the others it doesn't sound as powerful. It sounds like the walls of the club are much thinner. I may add some polyfill to deepen the sound some.

Trajectory:

Crazy 435 - Lowest of the 3. I hit mid height missiles that will roll forever. I would choose this driver on a windy day for sure

ZY-11 - Highest trajectory of the 3 but very low spin. Ball shot up quickly but then just carries for miles. Truly high launch, low spin

Bullet - Somewhere in the middle of the other two. I could hit some very high shots and also some lower shots depending on where on the face I made contact. Shots hit higher on the face and toward the toe had a higher trajectory than shots hit in the middle.

Shot Shape:

Crazy 435 - Fairly straight trajectory but could hit draws pretty easily

ZY-11 - Had a harder time turning this over. Shots favor a straight to slightly fade trajectory. Easy to aim slightly down the left and let it cut back 5 yards to the right. Very dependable.

Bullet - Very easy to hit draws as I believe the face is a little closed. Opposite to the ZY-11, I could aim down the right and easily rely on it coming back to the middle. Did have one or two that went a little too far left but nothing scary.

I'll take some comparison pictures of all 3 clubs and continue to update this thread. I'll also add in some launch monitor numbers if I can get some over the next day or two.

Finally was able to get some launch monitor numbers to go along with the range session posted yesterday. Most of the numbers confirmed what I was seeing at the range yesterday but obviously it was a different day and everyone can swing slightly different from day to day. I was using whatever ball Golf Galaxy had in their hitting bay which I believe was a Maxfil ball of some kind (hard cover and probably a 2 piece distance ball).

Just for fun I also brought along my OnOff CB358 shafted with a Graphite Designs PT-6X that picked up from GolfWRX member 3_Putt_Par (awesome person by the way). It actually outperformed the JBeam drivers on the monitors today but all were similar. I swung each club in the order listed so swing speed increased just slightly towards the end as I was fully warmed up.

Crazy 435:

Club Head Speed - 100.8 mph

Ball Speed - 146.3 mph

Launch Angle - 10.4

Total Spin - 2396

Peak Height - 24

You know I'm just kidding. ;)

Really glad to hear the PT worked out for you. Looking at those numbers, there's not much left to improve upon other than tightening that draw up a bit, which will come as you hit it more and get used to the shaft.

Hope the weather warms up so you can go bombs away on the course with the CB358.
