Japanese market ball usage

So do Srixon and Bridgestone own the market or do Kasco, PRGR, Mizuno etc make an impact? What share do Callaway, Titleist and TM have? Friend of mine does business in Japan and when he goes to the range he sees very little non Japan gear.

I'm here in South Korea visiting my daughter and decided to stop in at a local golf shop to see what Volvik S3 and S4 were going for. The S4s were next to XXIO Premium golf balls that were going for 110,000 won, about $100! Holy shiza that's a lot to pay for a dozen balls. BTW, the Volvik's where going for 55,000 won, about $50. Decided to pass and continue to buy online.

Don't know what the exact numbers are, but from what I see/find on the course I would say xxio is right. Mainly two piece softer distance balls. The big three have a strong foothold and a lot of proV1s are sold there as well.

Mizuno is a marginal player in the ball market, but however make a very good ball.

Odd that they crave exotic forgings and then use 2 piece ammo. Would love to visit Japan.
