at 6’6, he was a tower of a man…

 

can’t imagine how his career might have been different had he lived in the modern age where longer clubs (especially drivers) don’t weigh so much…

 

he had a very cool move and “dipped” a bit similar to Lord Byron…

 

your pics are great….I think I had a few of him about 60 pages back lol…but I don’t remember

I understand this. I'm no Nicklaus at a 7 index, but my golf is terrible compared to how well I played tennis back in the day. The difference is, I have no expectations of playing great golf. I started playing late in life and am doing OK.

 

But I used to be a hitting partner of some D1 tennis players and could move the ball around a bit. But after a shoulder injury I gave up tennis because I HATE playing poorly. It's demoralizing and not fun at all.

his mid iron swing was excellent…put him 120 and in, he was insanely good…

 

driver was erratic and putting was streaky…like for years he would get hot then he couldn’t read a 3 footer…

 

too much the over thinker on the tee and greens…
