I agree, North Bellingham always has excellent dry conditions, and the layout isn't too bad considering it's a links style course. Green fees are reasonable as well.

Played Morgan Creek yesterday. Greens are still recovering from aeration but very playable, otherwise the course was in fantastic shape.

Hazelmere is a solid value right now too, course is pretty dry. Just have to get passed that awful layout. $20 at 4pm is tough to beat though if you're a golfer on a budget.

McCleery is the best shape for this time of year that I can remember and greens are faster than usual.

Playing Vancouver club this weekend, looking forward to it ! I played the canal at Northview yesterday and it was real tough in the wind however it was in pretty decent shape for 1 week removed from aeration.

Played The Ridge yesterday and it was fantastic. Greens will smooth out in the next week or two and it will be a 9/10.

I was on the Canal yesterday. Too funny! The Canal is still healing a bit but it's starting to get in shape.

I have a tournament in a couple of weeks on the Ridge.

Great weather in Vancouver right now. Bad for skiing. Great for golfing!

I have a tournament in a couple of weeks on the Ridge.

Great weather in Vancouver right now. Bad for skiing. Great for golfing!

Thanks, yes I did enjoy it a lot. I usually get out there 3-4 times a year and every time it's exceptional. I just love the layout & design, there isn't any bad holes.

Next time you play 1 & 4 will be opened with new bunkers and surrounds.

Everything is growing back nicely. Just finished the spring aeration.

Played Westwood Plateau today and the course is in rough shape. They did the drainage so it's better but the course is still wet in several areas...The bunkers are full of rocks because there too cheap to purchase new sand and the greens are spotty and bumpy. My cart died on the 14 hole...Second time this year. The course has one of the best layouts with so many great golf holes but they just won't sink any money into the course. If they could get the conditions comparable to a Northview or Morgan Creek that would be great but the way theyre going it's going to be another 18 pastures

Unfortunately Westwood was built to support a real estate development.

It is very expensive and difficult o maintain as the holes are far apart and has lots of slopes.

It also has no winter play due to the layout so it has no revenues for at least 4 months of the year.

I agree it has a lot of great holes and if maintained to a high standard it is one of the top 3 public courses in the lower mainland.

I don't think it will ever get back to the same shape as when Wesbild owned it.

The guys that bought it from Wesbild only did so because they thought they could shut down the course and use it for building lots !!!!!!!! They owned the Rev bowling alleys and thought they could pull a fast one.

They tried to buy off a bunch of Coquitlam Councillors in the previous election to move their plan forward but they couldn't so it has just recently been sold again.

It will be many many years before Westwood becomes a decent course again. Very sad.

Pretty much every course I've played lately is in fantastic shape. Its unreal for May around here.

Playing mostly at The Ridge and Morgan Creek and both are fantastic tee through green these days.

Been playing Hazelmere a few times recently. I grew up in White Rock and must say it is in the best shape I've ever seen it. For the price you can't beat it.

No question. I understand they want #1 to be in sight of the clubhouse but they really need to switch the 9's around. 18 is a joke hole and having it as the finale? Just silly. #9 is a great hole and would make such a better finish.

Good to hear! I'll play one round there this summer with my Golf Surrey pass. Will probably miss the VGT stop there this year though.
