I've had a Clicgear 3.0 since they first came out. 10 years? Only complaint is that the plastic on attachment clips became brittle a few years ago and they all broke except for one still hanging on for it's life. It's been a good cart. I go through phases of pushing and carrying so it's not been used for every round, but it's got a lot of KMs on the clock.

I haven't shopped or looked at carts since, I'm assuming there are others out there these days that fold up a bit more compact? I'd be interested since I switched to a less sensible car and getting my Clicgear in to the trunk opening has become a minor pain especially when it's wet or dirty.

The bag boy folds up pretty easy from what I have heard...The rovic folkds up pretty easy from what I seen as well...  My daughter has the 4 wheel sun mountain and its pretty commpact and easy to fold up... I may have to steal aka borrow it from her this year when she is not playing

The smart thing would be to find her a pink one this year for her bday and take over her unit... I might be onto something there.. Going to have a look and see who makes pink push carts... I think clicgear did at one time

Kings was the windiest I've ever experienced today. Which added to the bitter cold. Not for me and my game play reflected it. Tough going. Course was in fine shape. Dry where it needed to be, Some greens looked recently punched, but by in large were great. Not sure when they would have punched though.

I played with a woman today who had a pink wheel Clicgear....not the 1st time I've seen one.

While you're at it...find your daughter a Hello Kitty golf bag.🤣

Played golf with this woman we used to golf with...her husband doesn't play golf and bought her a Hello Kitty golf bag....she told me it sits in the garage...lol.

WTH....I hate all this nonsense....couldn't find a tee time....all I could find was a single at 239pm today.....got there at 1245pm hoping for cancelation...NOPE.

Golfers were still teeing off at 406pm....sunset 535pm....WTH.

$17....got 15 holes in....BUT...I hate not playing 18 holes.

No golf this week....too cold....frozen....I don't play temp greens.

I don't like Kings....I find it a bit boring....I HATE the wind there.

She would shoot me if I showed up with the hello kitty golf bag LOL... She does love pink though !!!... I had a look and clicgear does make a pink one.. Now I just need to decide on who gets a new push cart ..her or me... I can take hers as its black and red the same as my 3 wheel cart... She has the 4wheel sun mountain.. It folds up super easy and doesnt take up a ton of space...

On another note I was supposed to be in phoenix this week... Thanx covid LOL... It looks like it may have saved me a small fortune as I looked up tee times and rates for tomorrow and WOW!!!!!! have they got crazy... Verrado after 1 for 120 us... I am going to look at palm springs for next year as I cant pay a grand for a weeks worth of tee times... Plus flights and air bnb and whatever else

From what you all are saying down there it looks as though this year may be even busier then last.. Not sure how that can be... up here anyhow...

One upside to this covid is I can now cross the border and come back with out having to test for 180 days... I may need to head down to the coast and jump over the border this summer

I don't know if it's cheaper....I really liked golfing in St Georges, UT...spend a couple of nights in Vegas.

Don't know if you have direct flights to Vegas from Kelowna.

It's mid Feb and ya can't find tee times here...it will become impossible as the weather improves....I hate this NONSENSE.

I looked at courses in st George before... The problem is the weather there can get chilly this time of the year

All I can do is hope the borders open up and everyone decides to head south this summer.. It's not looking that way so far

WTF I thought this was my secret special spot ........

Just lacking golf resorts but that may be a good thing.

I also like Sedona Arizona but they do not have a lot of golf courses to choose from.

IMO....an ideal short golf vacation getaway for a week...especially people on the mid or west coast NA is a Vegas/St. Georges vacation.

Mesquite is also great too...though we never dropped in there.

I like St George as some courses allow one to walk...I hate cart golf.

Yes, Sedona is beautiful...when we went on a AZ wide golf road trip...my regret was not taking a day off and cruise up to the Grand canyon to look around....why didn't we do it?...it was 72-75*F all week long but it was 50*F and a bit of snow in the Grand Canyon area....duh.

They have some great looking courses down there... The weather is the only thing that held me back as I would go down late Jan or early Feb..

Where all did you play when you were there ?

GC can get cold up there... Its worth a visit at least once in a lifetime.. Its one massive hole in the ground

The area is stunning....even areas near downtown.

Yes, Jan & Feb would be cold there.

We were only there for 3 days...played Sky Mountain, Green Springs??? and hiking at Zion Nat'l park.....there are many many better courses in the area.

The Painted Pony restaurant was great.

They say...people only spend 20 mins looking at GC.....I've seen the GC from a plane a few times....lol.

I drove from Scottsdale to GC once and made a detour to Sedona. At the time I knew nothing of Sedona and the boss lady suggested we detour at the last minute. I just wanted to get the day trip over with.

Very glad to have made that detour. I found the red rocks of Sedona to be a better sight than the GC.

The area is on my list of places to play... It would have to be closer to spring or early fall.... I was talking with a friend today and he said Palm springs pricing next year is already out to lunch

No surprise...everything golf price wise is ridiculous.

Any muni's in PS?🤣...seems like only the muni's aren't price gouging...but also near impossible to obtain tee times at the muni's too.

I think it's time to take up shuffleboard and leave golf or the rich

On another golf forum....I was PMing a guy who just retired....not related to golf price jacking or anything...within the past year or 2....he's really gotten into pickle ball...he says there's a lot of networking....I looked into some pickle ball leagues last month....but haven't done anything about it....lol.

Funny thing is that we continue to see many public tennis courts often remain unused and it's FREE.
Problem with tennis vs. golf...ya need to find others to play and or practice and ya need someone of similar skills to enjoy it...these are not requisites for golf.

I grew up a block from the courts on Grand Boulevard.  We played there a lot as kids.  I even went out by myself in the early morning as a  young kid to practice my serve.  Hit my three balls trying to knock over the Slazenger can placed in the opposing side service box,  go to the opposite end, rinse and repeat.  In  the early 1970's when I was a young adult they were really busy...there was a core bunch of us, we played many hours a week, probably the best times I ever had.  We played a lot of doubles just to get more court time at peak times. I think that was still on  the concrete; before they painted over the concrete  which helped ball and string longevity.   Are they quiet now?

I really only started golf as a buddy  and I both needed a break from tennis elbow. We started at pitch and putt, got our wives to play. Once once my pal and I played a round or two at University we were hooked.  Played awful, but hooked.

Speaking of North Van, I don't think I recall you saying you played Northlands? Not a this time of year course probably and not  a favourite of mine.  My aging memory serves it was was a lot tougher when it first opened up before they smoothed out some kinks.

Fraserview today was great and the greens were rolling very nicely.  Amazing deal at $40...no wonder getting a tee time is impossible.

In Dec...the greens were tucked and the greens were so fast and smooth.....maybe running 10+.

In Jan....a different story....greens not as smooth and fast....they needed to be rolled/cut.

I played Langara on Sun....kinda dry....but the greens were slow and a tad bumpy.

Ya....I'm on the North Shore.

I like a challenge, but don't like the sidehill, up & down lies of Northlands.....I seldom play the course.

It used to be mucky in the winter....but they've done work to the course.....I believe it's drier in the winter.....haven't played there in the winter lately

Years ago…not sure when.  I know i did  it maybe a dozen years ago when an out of  towner  was coming  and i arranged a game at McCleery.  Other than for such events it probably wasn’t used much until Covid .

Not sure when it started but it's been like this for a couple years.  You can get tee times but you need to pay $20/4some (non refundable) and book a month in advance.  Cancellations never come up because they have like a 4 hours cancel policy haha.

I wonder if they gave the greens the treatment for VGT last Saturday? I don't really speak "stimp" but they were fast enough that you didn't want too many downhill putts.

Fraserview is now $5/pp....it used to be $10/pp.... but people complained.
