Club battles for this year

New irons and wedges are on the way - that battle is over!

 

Now I am thinking about my long game and redoing that setup, 3 wood/5 wood/hybrid vs ?

 

 

I was fitted for my driver, putter, now irons - leaves a question mark around my 'best guess' fairway woods.

I thought I had a 3W battle between Rogue SZ and Epic SZ, also another between fli-hi 3i with grpahite shaft and Epic 3h with tensei pro.

 

Rogue SZ and Epic 3H grabbed those 2 spots by the throat, very quickly. I do like having options in that part of my bag, will surely play the fli-hi some rounds this year.

Potentially new irons. We'll see about that if spring ever arrives here in Chicago. Also looking to see if there's a sub 460 driver out there that can kick out my 2016 M1. 5 wood battle and there's a Royal Rumble for putter (as there is every year). Will it be a blade? Will it be a mallet? Will it be a space station putter? It's anyone's guess but I'm 1000% confident I can miss with them all!

Main battle is for the slots between 3 wood (which is set) and 5i (where my iron set starts). Going to test if I stay with my current set up of DI and hybrid, or go two hybrids, or 5W and hybrid, 5W and DI, etc, etc... Way too many options to fill the 200 to 230 yd gap. If only spring would finally come here in the northeast!

 

And putters! It's always a battle royale with putters - 612 / 007 / Cortino II / Method Oven / Scotty NP... :)
