K, so I've been a (somewhat) active member here for about 12.5 years. Never did a WITB. Weather was nice today, got in a quick 9 after work, figured why not.

 

M1 440 is a stock setup with the HZRDUS yellow made for. Settings are done by an alcoholic monkey on break from his normal job of making bathtub crank. It works, I promise.

 

M1 3HL is stock as well with the KuroKage. Haven't messed with it, hit it good but tails to the right. Replaced (begrudgingly) a R7 ST TP "tour issue" that I've had for almost as long as I've been a member here.

 

Sometimes I'll swap out the MP-33 2 iron for the MP-H5 Hitogami 1 iron, or dump the driver and just tee off with the 3 or 1 iron and carry the 2 iron. Depends on the course. Not much use @ Bandon for a 3HL for example....but a couple long irons to make me hate life? Rock on.

 

These particular MP-33's are 18 years old. Still good shape overall.... "Wipe your face, dammit"....."yes father" Been using the same setup for 18 years as well. S300 soft stepped once, plus 1/2" 2 degrees flat (mostly, some vary) Have another set of 33s, some 59s..all same specs.

 

The MP-T10 wedges are the best. wedges. ever. I have conforming wedges (also Mizuno) but they're not as fun as these. Similar specs to the irons, but Wedge flex shafts and only 1 degree of flatness. Probably will switch flatter maybe but who knows. I tinker...

 

PING Anser 2 Jim Wells ....... My #2 grail putter. I also have a 1981(?) PING Anser 2 stainless 'pat pend' that I'll play with sometimes. It's all original down to the slick-as-ice grip.

 

OUUL waterproof bag. Kinda like it. I think the PING Hoofer Monsoon is probably better but this one was on sale, and I can squeeze a nickel hard enough to make the buffalo crap, so.....

 

Seamus cover on the FW. I have other Seamus covers and some Sunfish too but the only driver HCs I have are stock.

 

Been messing around with the Chrome Soft Truvis but also have a bunch of Wilson Staff urethane somethings and Pinnacle Golds. Don't knock the gold, men (and women)...they're pretty good.

 

Caveats:

 

-Yes, the wedges are non-CoC. Good thing I'm not a pro feshunuhl.

-Yes, the shafts are stock offerings. (the horror)

-Yes, my current driver adjustability situation is rather whackadoo. Hey, like I said surprisingly it works. Went 282 (262 carry) and gots a $5 LD skin. woohoo

 

 

 

 

Anyways, that's about it, I've enjoyed WRX WITB shots over the years. These suck compared to the usual but they're all mine lol I'll update as I tinker...

Cool Dan old boy cool. MP-33s one of the holy grail sets in my eyes--- I wore a set slam out then went back to Macs- Actually myself I have been gaming a set of MP-68s the last 3 weeks but they may come out today. Found a set of 58 Mac Diamond Backs in one of the bins yesterday may play them. Conforming wedges ha ha-- Ain't got one in the bag that is conforming. I love it people will not play or buy them I found 4 non conforming Vokeys in the bins this week alone. Play what you want and have fun doing it. Yep that is a gamer bag for sure. And knowing you I know you have each one tuned to the max for you

ha I wish good shape, but trying to get out at least once a week. Which considering last year I only played 7 times will be a huge upswing. I can make decent enough contact to not embarrass myself so far

STU you're the guy who could forge your own irons out of old Mack leaf springs and shoot even. If I ever get out to the Carolinas you'll have to show me how it's done!

Dan Oh Dan---- Mack leaf springs!! as in Trunion and Camel Back OMG!! Makes my back hurt thinking about that!!! Oh the days back when a Mack was a Mack and trucking was trucking!!. Mack has came a long way for sure I am now driving a 2017 CHX- 613 MP-8 engine 10 speed Maxidine. Nope no automatic for me. When or if I have to go to the automatic and electric logs I am done I am retired

Nice set up indeed. Not sure what I like the most....nah, I know: The MP33 2i! I've seen those go for some ridiculous prices on Japanese auction sites, and I kind of want one myself.

I played the TP-10 and 11 wedges (I think the TP-11 were the same, just with conforming grooves), and I regret ever getting rid of them. I like my MD2s a lot, but the Mizuno TP-10/11s were also great, and looking back on it, better off the tight, damp lies we get during a Japanese winter.

Please describe if you will, the difference in the Modus 120 and S300 for your swing? Is it mainly a weight difference due to the longer club, or something more sinister? That is a lovely flatstick too.

Nippon is smoother. Less board-like. Feels like I don't have to be "up on the wheel" to get the same results.

 

A tad higher trajectory over the S300. Small but noticeable.
