I spent all spring putting together my J15 iron set with PX LZ shafts. Unfortunately I left my 6 iron somewhere on the course today because of cartpath golf and desperately hoping somebody turns in my club.

I presume you had these https://pinhighinc.com/

It does help.

Knowledge of the Rules is part of the skill set which a player must have to play competitive golf.

Those look good! Once I get a set of clubs worth getting back I will invest in those!

Ten bucks or so. Lost a wedge once, a month later the pro shop called my number and paid for shipping to me.

I hope you get it back...good luck coming your way.

In the early 2000's, I left my PW laying next to a green and realized it on the next green. I knew right where it was, asked the group as we drove by if they grabbed it, nope. Went back to the green, not there. Uhhhhh......

Drove back to the same group and said "you sure you didn't see it? TaylorMade pitching wedge?" "Nope." We could see it sticking out of one of their bags. I am a weakling, fortunately my cartner is a burly fellow. He walks up and says "this one here? Is this your club? Because it's the same model as my friend's, but it doesn't match any of yours." "Oh, that one, yeah! We just picked it up. Go ahead and grab it." WTF?

Ouch. I've nearly lost one of my wedges at various times but now if I use it around the green and am not immediately returning it back to my bag I lay it on top of the flagpole. That way someone is going to find it before we all move onto the next tee.

Although that does put me in mind of the chap who walked off the green carrying the flagpole and left his putter on the green. He got all the way to his bag before he realised. We all thought it was hilarious.

I also use the flagpole trick, but I've never seen someone do that. Too funny.

If it was 30 years ago, I'd say 99% you'll have your lost club returned to you.

But, time is a little different now.

I hope you'll get it back because missing one in the set is a PITA. Especially you worked on it the whole Spring.

Thanks and the other issue is that Bridgestone does not have any more of these left as they stopped making them. A tough brand iron to replace with their lack of availability and gutting carts. Not too many fitting cart 6 irons on eBay either. Hopefully if turns up today otherwise will have to slip in the J40 6 iron until I find one on eBay.

Drove the Pro shop guy crazy yesterday and called him every hour!

Usually when we find a club we put it in the basket of the cart. I have never had a case when someone has not been missing it and came back to claim it.

Wish more folks would use address labels especially around this Tourist mecca. Most courses here will ship them to the owner free after all that is customer service. Here most tourists are in such a drunken stupor they do not realize they have lost a club until they are home the next week. Most courses hold on to them for maybe a year or so then they are donated to a charity in most cases.

I rarely lose a club but one time I left my old rusty 56* 588 beside a green. Realized where I left it and went back to get it. Ran into a 2 some and asked and the guy said yeah it is right beside the 4th green. Told him thanks and asked why they did not pick it up? He said that it was so rusty he thought it had been there for a while. Of course those two were decked out in the latest and greatest looked like they just stepped out of a Tour Van. I laughed and said naaw it has been there 15 minutes or so. One of them asked "do you actually play with that rusty thing?" Yep I do but thanks guys enjoy your visit"

Unfortunately I think a lot depends on what kind of club is left behind. If it’s a wedge or a putter, good luck getting that back. If it’s an iron, your chances are high that someone will turn it in.

Hopefully Lady Luck is on your side with this one. As the post above me said, there’s a special place in hell for those people that keep someone else’s club. I left a brand new Bushnell in a cart and went back 30 min later. No where to be found. I hope whoever took it ended up getting terrible yardage’s and three putted every hole to infinity.

Are you certain that you had the 6 iron in the bag that day ? Had you used the 6 iron on the golf course that day ?

The reason I asked is, sometimes I'll take a club or two out of the bag for one reason or the other , just did not return them to the bag.

Sometimes I went looking for a club in the spare bags, went over twice and never spot it. It was hidden behind the other clubs.....

Maybe I should get rid of some of those spare bags.

On all my clubs, GPS, drink thermos, laser, etc. The one time I left my GPS in the cart has paid for all the sets of labels I’ve bought over the years.

Too bad there's not some kind of tiny chip technology for the end of grips or whatever available that would tie into a smartphone app. Not so much that would be able to track down a club later, but that would go off if say you separated yourself more than 100ft. from any club you have associated with it. Just sayin', heck there's an app for everything else nowadays...

I left my Bushnell Tour V4 rangefinder on the tee and didn't realize it was missing until a few days later. Someone turned it in and it was in the pro shop. That was really lucky.

I find clubs and sometimes the folks ahead don't even realize they've lost it. Tell me "no", they haven't lost a club when I ask them. "you sure?" Then they look and realize they left it behind. Sometimes they come back all aggressive like it's my fault they left it on the green and it's in my bag.

Isn't it usually wedges that don't get turned in? Not seeing the point of someone keeping a 6i.

Good point and I went through my car and also at home.

Pretty sure I left if on the course due to carrying multiple clubs playing cartpath golf and outing.

I have never seen anybody these playing bstones and hope I get it back

I don't care what it is on the golf course a brand new $500 driver or a bag of money, it's not mine, and I'm going to return it. It really bothers me if I know somebody keeps something when they shouldn't.

Been using this awesome thing for my rangefinder that wraps around it and has magnets so you can just stick it on the bar of the golf cart. Well, unfortunately, I left it attached to the cart last week and didn’t realize until a week later. And guess what, someone nabbed it. It’s the course I play all the time, so I had high hopes it would turn up. Hope you find your club
