I bought one a few months ago..it is suppose to be square but to me looks closed. I tried multiple setting to try to get the look and feel I wanted but it’s just sitting in the basement right now…lost patience trying to get it to work for me.

Was it mainly a mental/visual thing? Or were you actually sending shots too left? I'm not very visually sensitive to clubs (offset etc) so I can get passed that, but I do have a left miss so would want to avoid a draw biased head.

No it wasn’t a mental thing but it does visually look closed to me. Also about half of the shot I hit ended up left of my target.

I know the TS3 and TS4 get the love for good reason, but the TE+ are very underrated. They have a similar blade length and consistency as the ZXi7, but a thinner top line and are more forgiving.

Ironically, if you put the same brand on the RTZs, you would think the TE+ into RTZs are a combo set.

If you like them you might buy more cause only a few guys will have some left after Robin sells out.

Sadly none left of what I'd buy. I am thinking about I5 L flex tipped an extra inch for use in my M890 heads.

Why are the 105 stiffs $19.95 and the 105 regulars $49.95?

That would take a LOT of soft stepping to fit me.

I love my TE+.  They are super soft off the face with a nice click.  I can get great spin to hold greens with the 6 iron.  I really enjoy the thin top line.  I know I am playing a game improvement iron, but it doesn't have to look like one.

FWIW: I tested the RT Stiff and couldn’t bring them to life. My guess is I wasn’t fast enough. If the R’s were $19.95, I might take a chance. But not the other way around.

Last two days have been throwing darts with the TS4's. Hard to believe there could be a better iron out there.

If only there was a TS4 driver. 🤪

Driver change tomorrow to try to get into the 70's while the irons are on fire. 🔥🔥

I gotta figure out my driver too.  Had 5 pars in a row yesterday and it was mainly due to the irons just not missing.  The TS4 dbms were the best decision I have ever made in golf.  2 rounds the last 2 weeks, 2 strokes off the handicap. I love these irons.

I put a mini driver in the bag this weekend, and results were very promising. Mishits are longer and straighter than they are with a full size driver, and good strikes are nearly the same.

This is why I've frequently employed my 300 Mini.  I keep going to the well with larger sticks, and it never quite works as I think it should.

The main reason I don't just stick with the mini is I have an occasional catestrophic miss such that I feel like a smaller clubhead would just about completely miss the ball.  Amusingly, I almost never have those misses with my J's Professional Weapon, which is about 150cc.

Go figure.

I'm considering a Maltby DBM model again.  For those who have hit/played various DBM models, what is your take on the

feel/sound of them ?  Earlier ones seemed to be a bit too firm/clicky to me and others versus the alternate satin version.

I'm mostly interested in the TS4 or TS3.  Thanks for any  feedback you care to share.

My last several sets of irons were some of the softest around. Srixon Z965, 2015 OnOff Kuro, Bridgestone 220MB.

Now playing the TS4.

On perfect flushed shots, there's a very, very small difference. Overall, yes, they feel very slightly firmer. But after a couple weeks, I no longer think about it. Flushed shots still feel great. And when I hit a 6 iron 1/2" towards the toe, high on the face, and the result is a high draw that hits the green, I don't really care if it's a little firmer.

And a bonus is that with the slightly harder steel, I haven't seen any bag chatter at all after 15-20 rounds with them

How has it been comboing the TS4/TE+?  I just ordered a TS4 DBM 6I and experimenting with 5H.  If the 5H doesn't work out, I wondered about the TE+ in the 5iron.

Any pictures of both at address to show transition?

They look  nearly identical at address, and perform almost identically. I'll probably end up replacing the TE+ with TS4's after the season is over. I'll post a pic later.

Found a creative solution I thought you all would like. Ordered a TC 5 wood with the maltby pro shaft so I could compare against the Kuro Kage in my 7 wood HA! My current 5 wood is an ancient Nike SQ that hardly gets use anyway. I’ll compare the two TC woods to see which shaft I prefer prior to upgrading my driver. Depending on how much I like one over the other I might replace the shaft in one of the woods (but probably not).

Received the new 5 wood a few days ago with the Maltby pro shaft and have to say that I really love the club after two nine hole rounds. I do, however, have a predicament. The 5 wood has a nice lofted 235 yard flight. The 7 wood with the kuro kage shaft has a piercing flight that comes off the face like a piss middle and ends up almost the exact same distance. I was scratching my head until I measured them and found out that the 7 wood shaft is actually a half inch LONGER than the 5 wood. When ordering these clubs (fully assembled) from Maltby, I requested standard length. The only modification I made was to increase the 7 wood swing weight to D0. Would this be a reason for them to cut the shaft so long? I believe there is a weight in the shaft of the 7 wood because it has come loose and slides around in the club (kind of annoying but not a huge deal). The 7 wood always felt long but I just figured it to be how newer woods are as my old woods were from the early 2000’s.

Is this longer 7 wood shaft totally on me or should I try to get in touch with golfworks to see if they can help me out? Ideally I’d order a new max driver with the Maltby pro DR shaft and have them send me a new Maltby pro fairway wood shaft cut to the correct 7W length with an adapter installed so I can swap. This would give me matching driver, 5w, and 7W. Alternatively I can swap the shafts between the 7 and 5 as is and just game two different shafts playing 1/2” longer than standard (I’m 6’ so 1/2” shouldn’t make a huge difference). Ultimately I can’t understand why they would build the 7 wood so long when I requested standard length. Pictures attached but note I measured from the top of the hosel adapter. From there to the bottom of the club is 2.75” so I added that to the measurement for final lengths. Thanks all for your help. Maltby makes some great clubs and I am very happy with the performance of these woods!

I’ve seen a lot of talk of these RT shafts here. I haven’t really thought about it…but that’s a good price.

To any of you who have or do play the 105S, how do they compare to any of the major shafts such as dynamic golds or modus3?

I was surprised to see them listed as high launch and that concerns me. As well as the lower weight.
I currently play fst 125 pro in X and I have no issues hitting the ball high already.

I don't think there's any noticeable performance difference. Technically, the TE+ should be slightly better on thin hits, due to it's slightly  lower CG, but the TS4's are very good on thin shots as well.
