But damn it, they are not available till September.

looks good. Is that the forged one that was rumored for some time? To follow the PTM? Will it come in DBM?

It's the mate of the TS2. It's a 3 piece forging with tungsten weighting and urethane. I will tinker with the TS2s but this is the one I was waiting for.

I see a TS1 / PTM combo set in my bag next season. I hope they will eventually put out M Series wedges with the pearl finish.

One would think that they would go with more traditional lofts in a set of blades... 45*???!

That said... These look awesome.

Loving my PTM (DBM) irons. They feel as good as anything I’ve tried when hit well. Still fly decent when missed but you know it wasn’t hit as intended. The only issue I have with them is the GW, PW, 9 are all too big for my eye. Also i feel like the offset is backwards on the set. Like no offset on 4,5,6 and a lot on the GW, PW AND 9. weird.

They have very little offset. It's about a low of an offset of any of their irons in the higher lofts. These are the PTM specs. 4566fa6b15d5d08f5c78c86861953b26.jpg

Is that a rivet in the middle of the ts1?

That is likely the port where the polymer is injected.

Got a chance to put some of the higher lofted clubs in play tonight. Very easy to hit , good spin, feel is exception and one of the more turf friendly clubs I have hit in a while. With the blades I can take an enormous divot. These seem to hardly disturb the grass. It was a super short course, so I hardly used anything other than PW. Tomorrow I will give them all a workout.

Impression after the front nine. These are very easy to hit. I find myself swinging much easier compared to the MMB. The PW is awesome. Really a point and shoot club. I am finding these have almost perfect spin for me. Have not spun a ball back yet but they are all with in a few feet of the pitch mark.

I actually find myself playing a different style of golf with these. The swing is much more relaxed.

Back nine was more of the same. A well struck shot has great feel and just enough feedback. A bad swing let's you know where you hit it on the face.

A have always thought the gold standard of turf friendliness belonged to the Srixon 545/745 series. I think these come fairly close. I have to describe the sole as more of a rocker. The grinds are very subtle but there is a lot going on in the sole.

I have to say that I really enjoyed playing these and the added distance was easy to get used to as it was only about a half club. I was swinging too hard with the MMBs.

My back was stiff as hell on the front nine and I still cruised to -2. Almost felt like a boring round.

Looking forward to the TS1 release but I am not sure I would play and better with those. I may make a mixed set in the Gap and PW.

This is spot on. The numbers on the bottom of clubs are not as meaningful anymore. One needs to look at the lofts when deciding on a set. For these I think I might do a 5 iron to GW set. I have been playing the MMBs for several years. I have the original and a few MMB-17 because a few of my clubs were stolen. I think these are outstanding.

Popeye - Are they keeping the MMB line?

How would you compare sole/turf interaction vs. mmb and tell (bitg of which intended to take a lot of turf with)....I have hit mmb 8i and ptm 8i, and I like the PTM's much better with the friendlier sole, but the ptm just wants to left.for some reason.

PTM go left? Hmmm.

If anything I love their feel, forgiveness, and being stealthy black. I don’t like the size of the higher lofted irons. The PW and GW feel bigger than the 4i and 5i.

I found the PTM to be left biased on a brief stint as well. But I really didnt give it enough time.

I will take a big ole divot with the MMB. The TS2 hardly takes anything. During a normal round I have a sand shaker on constant standby to fill a divot. Not so with the TS2. For me it was polar opposites.

I had to go back to your post and answer this again. Today I played in a course with burned out fairways and I had my Gap wedge of the MMB set and for the life of me I couldnt pick a ball clean without hitting the hard pan. Yet with the TS2 Pw I was able to play any shot I wanted without so much of a thought of hitting it fat. Full shot or a punch skipper that stopped after two bounces. On the longer irons it was the same thing. Never so much as a worry to a fat shot. It's a HUGE difference.

I bought a set of the MMB Black's with KBS Tour 105's myself.

I've never hit so many fat shots with a set of irons. Especially when putting the ball back in my stance trying to hit a knock down shot.

Before these I played a set of 712 AP1's. I keep going back to them because of hitting the MMB's so fat.

The sole of the TS2 you say has a slight V to it.

Are you taking less of a divot with them? Do they have more bounce?
