I won my first tournament, the 2002 OHSAA Div. II Sectional title with my Newport proto...I've been through 7 other putters since, and keep coming back to this one and am about to do my own resto on it. They're gonna bury me with it haha!

I love mine. My gamer is a Inspired by Duval, and my backup is one of the plain jane Newports. I want a newport 2.

I have sold off all but a Coronado, a Newport Beach 34"/ 340 Gram, and two of the brass Bullseyes that he redesigned. Just ran out of gas for the Cameron craze.

I used to love mine, now I just like them, especially after getting a Byron 350g 006 and I am waiting on my 350 Milled as well as another Byron, an 007.

 

The quality on my 006 Byron surpasses ANYTHING Cameron I have owned.

Agreed - I also like his earlier work better than his current stuff. Had a 33/350 Studio Style NP2 but got rid of it-- now I have a newly restored 33/350 Mil Spec Newport on the way, to join the Studio Stainless 33/350 Newport 2, Red X2 and Big Sur (for when the wheels really come off). Hoping to add Asian 33/350 versions of the Circa No. 3 and No. 6, but we'll have to see how that works out.

Just put a new Circa #1in the bag. 5 rounds with it and it is money.

Solid pure Scotty classic design with perfect workmanship.

Love the carbon steel feel

Baby "t" grip is my favorite one the Cameron King has ever put out too.

I am glad the leather is gone, that was not to my liking ever.

I at one time owned 4 of them (Red X, Circa 62, Studio Style, Studio Stainless) but once I got my Bettinardi DASS Tour BB8, I sold all of my Scotties within short time.

 

I still love some of the older Scotty models, but the putters aren't made out of one block of steel any more and some how the Tiger effect is not that important to me anymore.

 

Don't know why, but since I got my Bettinardi DASS, I just don't get excited about Scotty putters anymore....it's actually a bit sad, that Bettinardi destroyed my love for Scotty putters ;) ....... ;)

 

I wish he made them more head heavy and skipped the colors and dots - returned to basic classic putter design, but I understand why he continues with what he does currently - making millions and laughing all the way to the bank :beee:
