Agreed. Californians need to stay out of Oregon for their own mental health....yeah that's the ticket. Out of the 13 homes on my street, 5 are owned by retired Californians. I've been trying to convince them to move away for their own good ;)

Ha! We were talking about this at work - I told people yes yes the dollar (right now) is great, but there are no cheap places in Canada you'd actually want to retire to if you are not already there.

Especially for golfers. Maybe Vancouver Island? IDK. But nowhere that you couldn't find a better set up in the States.

What are your leaders in the clubhouse for places to retire?

Idaho, Arkansas, Texas.

I actually enjoyed the rain when I lived there. Those sunny days always made you want to go outside and enjoy it.

Ha! We were talking about this at work - I told people yes yes the dollar (right now) is great, but there are no cheap places in Canada you'd actually want to retire to if you are not already there.

But the western part of the state - ozarks, hot springs etc is nice. I could never go back. I’m too west coast...

land be cheap, real cheeeep compared to Cali. So that leaves cost of living and adequate medical care. Mosquito's haaa. here in the hills of Nor Cal they haven't treated for infestation since the 80's. Damn things are every where, some evening thick as ticks on a Blue Healer.

Those endless gloomy days... that’s the rub. We’re actually rethinking, seeing if we can figure out how to get to the beach in so cal. Not impossible.
