The preseason is right on our doorstep. Who's your pick to win it all this year?

Definitely don't think the Mild are gonna do squat this year. Last year might have had higher hopes than this year actually.

 

 

We will grind/fight for the 8th spot in the post season and as always, make a quick exit. This is one of the best times of the year though...preseason hockey.

I am hoping the Pens round back into form, particularly Matt Murray. He had a horrible year, moreso off the ice than on, and I hope he is able to stay healthy and focus on the ice this season. In fact, I am incredibly impressed with what he was able to do given the circumstances, so I am in no way bashing him.

Letang might be ready to make a play back to the Norris contender he has always beeen, but he also is coming back from so much.

 

So I am picking the Pens

Then everyone else, but

The Capitals. I have never liked them (excepting Rod Langway), and certainly hope this was their only cup win.

I can see Tampa going deep in the playoffs again.

 

I have a feeling that it will be a long season as a Ducks fan...there's still hope that the cup window is open, but its closing pretty quickly.

I'm ready for this gong show to begin. Twins' abomination of a season is over, and the Vikes are off to a shaky start. Hockey, please. Anything to take my mind off the mediocrity of my beloved MN sports teams. The beauty of being in a four-team small-market pro sports scene is four teams; the ugliness of the small-market four-team market is your teams' inability to consistently (if ever) contend in said sports.

 

 

Wild will be mediocre this season. As usual, fighting for 6-8 seeds in West.

Loving the increase in offense so far this year. I would imagine as we get further into the season this will go down due to the adjustments in defense.

My SJ Sharks stats are decent, but the goal-tending. Holy Crapola. Joner, put the pipe down and start playing like a real goalie. I think Karlsson is leaving after this 1 year experiment. Cup or bust this year.

 

Surprises. Calgary. Bringin it every night. I like it. Anaheim. No Cory Perry and still winning. Buffalo. And esp the Isle. Wow. Trotz workin it, stirring the pot. Thought they’d be bad but that Barzal kid can play.

 

More surprises. St Louis. LA.... for all the wrong reasons. Cmon guys, you’re way better than your record. Let’s go!

Yeah, Karlsson seems to be kind of a bust this year. I think his glory years are long behind him now. Now, if the Sharks management can only tighten their hold on Kane's off-ice drama.....
