North Carolina trip cancelled...maybe killington

I was supposed to go on a golf trip with 15 other guys to Bald Head Island North Carolina, up until about 6 hours ago where hurricane Florence is supposed to make landfall. This trip is obviously off and we are trying to think of places to go.

 

Most of us live in central New Jersey. The two ideas we are kicking around are going out to Long Island and playing Bethpage Montauk and some other courses or the more popular opinion right now is going up to Killington Vermont.

 

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

 

Any course recommendations in the Killington Vermont area?

What about Turning Stone? I have seen so many articles and Instagram posts lately about all the new golf courses and great restaurants up there. If you're already signing up for a long drive, dont know how far it is from where you are but I'd ballpark 5-6 hours, probably close to what Killington is.

 

I know it sounds a little random but its just one place I've seen a ton written about lately.

Killington, Green mountain national, Neshobe, Proctor Pittsford, Woodstock, Okemo all in 45 minutes and no traffic

Jay peak seems super North. Suggestions about Killington courses are appreciated. Any other ideas

Highly recommend Crumpin Fox in Mass close to Vt border. They have an Inn right at the course but I usually stay in Northhampton.

We were supposed to leave for Myrtle beach a week from Sunday and we are thinking about going down to Orlando and playing Bay Hill, Grand cypress and a few others if Myrtle beach gets hammered.

A good buddy of mine just got back from Turning Stone after having been there for 7 days with a group of his high school buddies. He couldn't speak highly enough about the courses although he did say they were extremely difficult. From what I understand the nightlife around the resort is mediocre but again, the golf courses are superb.

It now is not a question of IF but when. Supposed to start in a few hours if the storm turns South and goes along the coast.

Come on dowm to florida. I can house 10 guys? I can carry 10 in my truck and clubs. We can play a few courses here lol.
