What equipment do you wish you had bought a backup of.

like new" condition, I usually put a 260.06 RAW in my bag for golf trips to the south. The sole shape and bounce angle is excellent off tight Bermuda fairways and out of Bermuda rough!

Buying a backup is the surest way to guarantee the original will lose its magic. Then you have to sell two.

Really nothing. You can find most anything if you look for it. Might not be the price you want to pay or if it was a one off your issue or something exclusive then you might be out of luck but I have sold clubs only to end up wanting to go back to it.

 

I actually did sell an Odyssey 2Ball years ago and after the honeymoon wore off with a new Cameron, I contacted the buyer about the 2Ball about a month and we made a deal so I could buy it back.

 

Still have it somewhere just in case the current putter misbehaves.

Starting to think I should stockpile some TaylorMade Hi Toe wedges. I don’t know what it is but I went from terrible short game to consistent in the space of about 8 weeks. I don’t know if it the sole or the bounce or the shape but I chip and pitch really well with the 58. So much so that I pretty much use one club for a variety of shots now. I never used to do that.

 

Maybe I just found a configuration that suits me but I was seriously thinking about buying more of these. I’ve never felt so comfortable with a wedge before

I stockpiled some engage wedges I had 3 sets and have just shafted up my last set for tournament play ,

 

I really wish I had bought even more heads, but I can see me just ordering Artisan wedges once they come to retail.

 

Just order the same grinds and specs from the guys who made the engage.

Just got a PXG Mini Gunboat H and it feels so good I'm already scared of it ever breaking. Seriously considering buying another just in case. I came to the forum looking for a thread like this to see if anyone else had crazy thoughts.

 

Ultimately though it's the mallet, slant hozel, and minimal offset that are doing the trick. It's my first time with a putter of this design. I struggle with pulls from over releasing and the design really does the trick in limiting how much the toe can pass the heel.

 

I still definitely want a travel putter. I don't want to put this thing on an airplane unless I'm going to a tournament. Even then bringing a backup putter that's comfortable is always a good idea. Suppose I can find something in a similar flavor on ebay.

As years pass I notice people LOVE G25 woods. My G25 driver is one club I wish I had a new backup. Legendary.

 

Also I know people will laugh at this and will find it ridiculous. I wish I had bought MORE backups of the original Solus 50 & 56 degree wedges. At one point, I had 5 new ones of each. They are all gone now.

Wish I was already playing the Srixon 945s when they were selling them for nothing on TGW. Would have bought at least on backup set. Everything else is easily replaceable.
