Repairing peeling metal-x face on Odyssey Works putter?

I got an Odyssey Works putter with the metal-x layer that is peeling off on the side.

 

I tried super glue and it stuck for a little while but its starting to come off again. I was thinking some epoxy now. But I thought I would ask the gurus here if this will work or if there is another glue I should use to stick the metal face back to the "white base"?

I have a Big T V-Line putter with a metal X face and I had concerns as to its durability. I called Odyssey and ask them what would happen if the face came off and they said 'send it back in and we will repair it'. It's worth a try.

Sounds like something Callaway might help you with, maybe a new putter. BB

Call the OEM customer service,

It can not be re- attached, most likely they'll give you a new one so be prepared and shop for a second or third choice in case your model is not available.

Thanks everyone, I was going to call them but need to hold it till next weekend at least, for a tournament. Plus I need to pull the Garsen grip out as well before I call/send it back. It's a 7H as well.

 

Bummer - I have other metal-x faces and this is the only ones that has played up like this...

Have the same problem with Odessey works fang putter. Metal face came off. Tried using super glue but only worked for short while. Is there any epoxy glue for this or is sending it to Callaway the only answer? Thanks!

Bringing this back to see if anyone has done anything in the time. A good friend is trying to save his OWorks 9 as it was his grandfathers putter and besides playing well with it, obvious sentimental keeper.

 

The metal mesh seems to be a common issue from what I have gathered in my research here. 

 

Anyone have success getting it to adhere? From this pic its only the toe side and sweet spot is fine. I have not seen it in person yet, but advised he try some JB Weld decent epoxy and clamp, but that didn't take. Not sure what he used (I would use some Loctite HP I have here but he's 2h away)

 

I see that Spryevo likely could get us a replacement insert  but prefer to save it as original if possible.

 

Any tips for those  who have BTDT?

Well apparently you have to show proof of purchase otherwise they’ll do nothing. Interesting that they are aware of the problem with these type of putters (Odyssey Big T CS) having the metal screen coming off but they won’t stand behind their product; sad. Such a wast of money.
