Jack’s ideas on ball-position are cool. I’ve never been someone that plays great golf playing the ball in the middle of my stance with any club. I actually start hitting it fat. Always found that counterintuitive but I don’t argue with it.

Alot of good stuff in this. I esp liked the bit on “ you cant release the club too early in downswing if you are turning left.... similar if not same concept David Duval has made and Monte in No Turn Cast Drill. Also like the repetition of different club same swing. He was trully one of if not the best of all time. Alot of modern things in this vid.

Good to see some interest in the old golf VHS’. I’ve just finished a project (borderline obsession) over a few years of converting 400+ of them to digital. Copyright issues aside it would be nice to have some sort of golf version of Netflix. I know Discovery have said that their new golf project with the PGA Tour is to rival Netflix. Live golf doesn’t attack the Netflix competitive advantage of having a wide variety of offerings and accessible 24/7. Other than replays of live events that is.

I like the way he turns to the camera after every shot and says, “I prefer that shot, don’t you?” Or, “What do you know, that turned out well.” Lol. I may try his chipping advice. Looks wonky but makes perfect sense for someone like me who doesn’t have enough time to practice and ingrain a sense of feel. Thanks to the OP for linking this vid.

Very cool stuff. Thx for sharing. Golf might be one of few sports where something old still works. True for courses and swings.
