Saw the new woods and hybrids at golf town today. The drivers had a great shape, improves even on the m3 and m4. The matte finish is bang on. Didn’t like the fairways, too small a head on each. I’m very much a ping g guy, with the larger fairway heads. Still holding out for the m5 tour driver. Really liked the 19 degree hybrid shape, hated the 22, yes I’m particular on shape. Didn’t have time to hit balls. There were no epic flashes yet.

The Epic Flashes should have been there, we have them. Hit the M6 3w and she is a beast! Love the look and feel and were getting good numbers. Loved the Rogue from last yr., but wasn't hitting the Flash very well. Might have been pilot error?!

We got some of our Flash drivers and fairways yesterday. I took a moment to check them out after I picked up my M6.

 

I wasn’t a big fan of the shape of the Flash. Looked funny to me. Of course, I’ve said that before and then a driver looked much better out of the plastic. One I grabbed looked massively open at address. Only SZ that came in was LH so I didn’t even check it out. Fwys (std version) were meh.

 

Hopefully the fitting cart will be in today or tomorrow. It got delayed for some reason.

Anyone think they're at least partially regretting not going to the PGA show this year? I really feel like all I've heard is how good the F9 and ST190 are performing and lots of good stuff out there on the G410s as well. I feel like TM might have lost some momentum with the emergence of some historically lower tier competitors (at least in terms of sales numbers, not necessarily performance). Then again, I realize not everyone is as big of an equipment nerd as I/we are and probably doesn't pay nearly as close attention to industry stuff like the PGA Show and I'm sure the buzz will eventually subside and the rich will keep on getting richer. But I just think it's interesting that TM is starting to get sensitive with their marketing budget for things like the show but will throw all the money in the world at player contracts.

I thought someone said they were going to make a M5 v2 to fix the issue with the cracking. Did I make that up or is that true. It’s clearly an issue but I don’t think it’s going to be as wide spread as some think. But if they are going to fix it I’d rather wait.

I think there will be a second version in the upcoming months. It's probably already in the works (along with the M7/M8). The current M5's I don't think are going to be recalled or revised, just replaced under warranty with V2 would be my guess.

Can someone confirm which of these shafts are "Made for" and what are real deal?

 

Was wondering If I spend extra $50 on a Fuji PRO 2.0 from this list, will I get a real deal shaft or watered down made for shaft?

Pro 2.0 should be real deal. $50 upcharge for that seems reasonable as MSRP on the 2.0 is $225 while the Tour Spec is $250. Doesn’t make much sense to pay the upcharge on the TS version when it retails for the same price.
