Cobra F9 is the driver of the year!

May not be a Golfwrx favorite but my goodness every single person I know and every YT video testing video is all about F9. I am not surprised it is the peoples favorite driver.

 

And here's why:

 

Great looks

Best dispersion,

25% cheaper

Best sounding,

best value for money

Once fitted the longest driver or as good as the longest.

 

 

Congrats Cobra this looks like another driver as popular as Biocell.

I'm starting to feel close to this as well. I've had 3 of my friends order one after they saw and hit mine.

Just come back from American Golf in Watford after demoing the F9, M6 and the cheapest, the Wilson D7.

 

To be fair, my swingspeed is very average so drives normally carry around 175yds and finish 195.

M6 was the least impressive of the 3 but the F9 and D7 were neck and neck. Carrying between 185-190 yards and finish around the 215 mark

 

The D7 could truly be a sleeper but there's no adjustable abilities. The F9 was possibly slightly better at off centre hits.

I hit about 40 balls with it at golf galaxy last night. I may be retiring my ping G and replacing it with the F9. I was very pleased with what I saw on the simulator. I would like to try it on the range and course too, though.

TXG just did a video with Matt Blois hitting a couple over 360 with 182-184 ball speed. Said it was the furthest he has ever hit the golf ball and he wasn’t peppering the center of the face, in fact, he was missing pretty good and ball speeds still remained in the high 170’s.

I'm afraid of cobra stuff after really loving the look of the f8+ 4/5, buying, then hitting my fade left 80% of the time.

 

Plus, I'm recently in an m4 and I can't imagine anything being better.

I bit the bullet tonight without even hitting it.I did get the black and white one which can go up to 12 degrees.I kept my ping g 400 so depending on my mood and the course conditions I can switch between the two.

I feel empty inside. Been a loyal Ping player for the last 8 years and made the switch. I still love all Ping drivers going back to the G20 but this F9 gave me another gear and I love the looks and sound. Extremely accurate. I wonder if mine is USGA legal it's so hot.

I agree that this year, Cobra has really made a fantastic driver with one of the lowest price/yard ratio.

 

However, do also note, despite it being super efficient in delivering ball speed and also have a decently high MOI for forgiveness,

 

one must also take into account, whether the CG build of the driver fits them. If not, it does not matter what loft you choose or what shaft you put in, it will be tough to optimise the driver in terms of performance.

 

Nonetheless, every review i have been watching has really proven that the F9 can compete with the big boys.

 

I think Taylormade in 2019 is again slightly disappointing and till date, i feel their M1/M2 drivers are still the best. I dont know how many would agree.

 

Callaway Epic Flash is also not one to dismiss, i think its up there with the F9 this year!

I had the opportunity to hit all of the 2019 models on Trackman a couple of weeks ago. There were three models that stood out for me. Callaway EPIC Flash Sub Zero, Cobra F9, and Titleist TS3. I could put either of them into play. I thought the F9 was the best feeling driver of all of them.

2019 will go down like the 84 NFL draft.. Marino, Elway, Blackledge, Todd, and can't remember the other one. I agree some really good drivers out there! F9 is Elway however:)

Do you think the fairway woods deserver the same admiration that the F9 driver has? I'm pretty convinced that I'm going to be taking my Rogue out of the bag and replacing it with a F9 driver. Just wondering if the same should be true of my Rogue 3w.

I think the whole Cobra F9 line up is gonna be the one to beat this year. Even the price compared to the competition is gonna be a big positive for people looking to upgrade their equipment without taking out a 2nd mortgage.

 

Still gonna try the Ping G410 line. After that maybe looking at trying a Mizuno, Titleist or even a PXG driver. Not really interested inTM or Callaway stuff this year..

Heading to the store to see these in person today. Thought the F9 looked great online and now that there are so many positive reviews, I will probably pull the trigger soon. Definitely getting the driver..... Interested in seeing the fairways in person as well. It seems like Cobra has knocked it out of the park with their 2019 offerings.

I don't youtube much but one test I saw guy liked sound/feel of of f9 better than Cally. What say you?

It sounds and feels better, for sure. Spins more tho and launches a bit lower standard settings. Needs to be fit properly but when it is wow

I mean no insult, but that is illogical. Matt has a very unusual very high speed, low spin swing. Positive AoA, 125+ mph, push draw. A PERFECT distance swing. He matches maybe 1% of the people watching.

 

What works and fits him really doesn’t mean much to the vast majority of the people watching those videos.

 

I think they are well made and generally informative, but I really wish Ian would use a more “average” golfer for their tests.

 

How about the 100 mph guy with a zero to +1 AoA and a little bit of an over the top pull slice? That would be a LOT more useful to most people.
