I’m heading out as a twosome. Landing in Portland on Tuesday, 2/26.

AM - Pacific Dunes

Friday, 3/1

AM - Old Macdonald

PM - Pacific Dunes

Still undecided on a caddie. Not sure it’s worth an extra $500. Only value I see is carrying the clubs for the back-to-back 18 on Thursday/Friday.

 

Will anyone else be out there next week? Looks like the weather will be wet and mid-40’s/50’s. Let me know if you’d like to meet up.

Don't need to go over the pond to experience golfing in the wet and windy condition. :sorry:

Make sure you bring extra pair of golf shoes and plenty of socks including a few pairs of thick merino wool for comfort when you retire from the golf courses.

Have fun, I'd be out there, if there is a way to give me back 40 years.

Seriously, most golfers won't like to golf in the wet condition. I like to experience that as long as the grips are not too slick to hold on to.

That is absolutely the right decision :)

Going back out again on the big courses beats the Preserve every time.

Curious to see how this turns out for you. You’re placing a lot of weight on Pacific (which isn’t a bad thing at all) but I’ll be curious to see if you end up liking one of the other courses even more.

 

I absolutely loved all the courses and I think that Pacific was my favorite as well - it’s my version of heaven. Please let us know how it goes for you.

Always ask the ProShop for advice, which golf course would be their choice for the weather condition.

I suspect the Pacific would be tough to play in the windy and wet condition.

I couldn't agree more, I would have been lost without those gloves on my trip a week ago.
