TPC Scottsdale Champions walking rate special?

I remember year(s) back there was a walking rate special @ TPC Scottsdale Champions that was like $50...do they still offer anything like that?

Yes but rate is around $80 now.

I believe you can only book it about 5 days in advance. Not sure if it’s az residents only. Unpublished rate so the restrictions are unclear. I really like the course also they don’t have push rental push carts FYI.

I did it last January, was either $59 or $69 I think. I’m not local.

Walking rate is $78 (that's after tax) for residents right now. The rate fluctuates throughout the year but on sunday it was $78. In the summer it's like $25 or something. It's unadvertised but you just book a time online and then tell them when you check in. The people in the shop click some buttons and suddenly it's $78. Not sure if there are timing restrictions but we always just book the time the week of (typically on Monday for a Saturday or sunday time).

They won't give you the rate if you don't say anything. Even if others in your group paid $78, you still have to say something. We ran into this issue where someone in our group didn't know, they were charged like $140 and he had to go back in and get it sorted (they took care of him).

Best deal in town this time of year. Teeing off at 7:40 am on a sunday for $78 during peak season in Scottsdale.

2 questions, if you book over the phone and let them know you're local will they book you as one so you don't need to re state it at the proshop? Also do they check ID if let's say another member of your groups states he is one but isn't actually local?

2 questions, if you book over the phone and let them know you're local will they book you as one so you don't need to re state it at the proshop? Also do they check ID if let's say another member of your groups states he is one but isn't actually local?

My guess is no. It's a manual change they make in the proshop.

As the for the check ID, it's hit or miss. More times than not, I have not been checked (I'm also in there a lot, almost weekly, so I'm assuming they recognize me or at least our group name.... However, I have been asked for verification multiple times.

Yeah, don't do this. Not cool. Real dick move.

Haven't tried at TPC, but a number of times when asked if I'm a local, I'll just joke and say no but if you want to charge me the local rate I'll take it. I'm probably batting .500 getting the local rate just by being honest about not being a local.
