Cobra F9 vs. Titleist TS3

Bumping this up. I went from 915 D2 to Cobra F9. Between just getting better at golf and the club change I picked up a TON of distance. I was not fit for my F9 I just got lucky as the ball flight fits my eye and I hit it very well/long. Generally getting out there 300 - 270/280 on a more average swing. Thing is I can tell that it does spin on me a bit - often it'll pitch and nearly stop. I also find it a touch fade bias. I went away from hitting draws off the tee as I hate the miss. Most of the courses I play a bit of a push fade or block will still be alive. Hooks are a no go. That said, the F9 is noticeably more difficult to turn over (partially combined with the Hzrdus black but also have the Atmos TS Black X and same deal. So I can have a bit of a right miss with it at times. My question is does the TS3 keep up with the F9 for distance and is it as/or more forgiving? I'm looking for a very neutral flight but I still want to retain all the distance at least. Anybody compared these two at length?

This is a very timely post. I'm happy to report that I have had the exact same experience with the F9. I'm 15 yards longer with it compared to the TS3 head, but dispersion has increased by 15 yards haha. I too have found the F9 to be almost impossible to turn over despite playing a draw with all my other clubs. That being said the TS3 was too spinny for me and today gave in and got fit for a ping g410 lst with a tensei orange. It kept up with the F9 (+/- 10 yards total) but was much easier to turn over (meaning straight ball as opposed to slight push fade). The moral of the story is get fit. I know it's not what you probably want to hear but it was quite the experience - you won't leave without the right club if you go to a good fitter.

Get out of here with your logic! Haha but seriously 15 yard difference between the TS3 and F9? Ouch. Not willing to give that up. The game is SO much easier when you're out there at 300 consistently. Switching to this club almost every par 5 became reachable and 430+ par 4s are no longer an issue. I am willing to play the fade if it means keeping the yardage. I'd almost be more inclined to get my F9 hotmelted - it's that good. I also bought my F9 for $180... meaning it was an absolute steal and I can't really afford a 410 LST for example. I'll go hit some clubs tomorrow and report back.

This is exactly what happened to me... I loved the distance of the F9 (and I got the head for $200 on the bay) but I couldnt handle the lack of adjustability of the weight from toe to heel. Definitely try the hotmelt or lead tape!! It's such a bomber that I feel bad selling it. I know this exact feel you're feeling right now and I had a bad round where I was knocking the ball OB what felt like every other hole and said forget it. I'm ready to play a more conservative brand of golf where I give up a few yards and would rather keep it in play.

Bought the F9 out of the gate this spring. Decent results but never felt comfortable with the look/feel and was getting too much spin. Sold it and moved to TS3 and could not be happier. Both are among the very best drivers of the year, so I can't knock the Cobra, but the Titleist just ticked every box for me.

Loved the sound and feel of the F9 but spun too much with the smoke 6.0 and probably not enough with the 6.5. I put the weight forward with the 6.0 and it was ok, but erratic. Didn't want to go shaft hunting so I moved on. TS3 spun way too little for me, never could get the flight I wanted...Out of the two I'd go with the F9 but feel the TS2 is probably the best of both worlds. Now, the F9 3w.... fantastic.

Hit them today but I went in cold and was NOT swinging well. Cobra low 2000s for me getting around 275 carry total 300. TS3 slightly higher ball speed but very low spin - 1800-2100. Not what I'd want on course. Hit quite a few decent ones but in the end I want straight and long not workable. Could shape TS3 well but I do not want to shape it haha. Hit TS4 CRAZY low spin. Few at 1400. Not for me. Great looking club. TS2 probably more the club for me.
