LBRMGR
Going to Streamsong in 2 weeks. Any tips or caddy suggestions? Are we able to bring outside food and booze to keep in the room for pre-dinner festivities or do they ban this? Any other suggestions or advice would be very helpful! nb4tl
Play the red, I did in fall 2017. Amazing course!
nb4tl
Focus on picking a target because the views can overwhelm you on some tee shots.
GolfNuts4
You can bring food and booze for your room, but cannot take it in the resort or on the course, you ca buy it at the course though. It's a great resort and great golf, enjoy, I will be there again in September. parmo99
Super fun courses. Personally I enjoyed the red and blue more than the black. Thought the layout on those two were incredible and the landscaping is dramatic. Black, while still very fun, just feels a little gimmicky in spots. I think I read they have something like 9 acres of grass mowed to green length.. lots of opportunities to 4 jack. Seemed like almost every hole getting on in reg wasn’t the challenge, but 1 or 2 putting was really tough. Reminds me more of Old Mac at Brandon if you’ve ever played it, Accommodations at the resort are top notch, some of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Restaurant there is nothing special but the food at the courses were pretty good.
outgolfing
Just got home from playing streamsong blue. My group teed off at 8:30, we walked but did not utilize a caddy. Three of the guys used push carts and I carried using my new Ping Moonlite bag. Course was in great shape and the staff was friendly at every turn. Carlos was by far most friendly and helpful. Even though we teed off early and there was groups with forecaddies and carts ahead and behind our round took 5 hours. By mid point of our round it was over 90 with full sun and next to no breeze. Our groups game fell apart after the turn and by hole 14 we were all just going through the motions. All in all it was a fun day. Here are a few pictures of the day. The signature par 3 (pictured) was a lot of fun, my tee shot never left the flagstick and ended up 15 feet over it, lipped my birdie put and tapped in for par. The group in front of us which is in the picture was FSU head coach Taggart. 1 Quote Titleist TSR3 10* w/ Tensei 1k whiteCallaway Apex 19' 3 hybrid w/ Nippon GOST tour stiff NCW Tour Department DW mid muscle MB 4-PW w/ Modus 105 SVokey SM8 50f, 56s, 60mBettinardi Studio Stock
Jungleland
Played the Red on 7/2, we were first off, played in 3:15. Course was in great shape, greens were in incredible shape, pick the line and breath on the ball!! It was hot and I walked, glad the round was quick because I was gassed. Jungleland
Yes, as an FL Resident, $89 to walk these courses is a great deal. > @tiderider said: > > @Jungleland said: > > I’ve never stayed and have played 7x now with my latest tee time being 8 am > > k ... i've gone twice, but stayed at the resort ... just making sure ... summer prices are a steal for the course, but i just don't need a $250 room anymore ... duckboat24
I’ve ate at the Bone Valley Tavern at the Black clubhouse twice now and both times were very good. First time was dinner when the wife and I stayed there one night after playing the Blue. I had steak and she had lobster Mac and cheese and both were very good and the service was great. Then had lunch there earlier this month after a day trip to play the Black while on vacation in Clearwater. The food and service were great again this time. I thought the prices at BVT were decent for what you got, good food and good portions. It wasn’t cheap but definitely didn’t think the prices were outrageous. Only other place I’ve eaten there was Lunch in the Bar in the Blue/Red clubhouse after our round on the Blue. It was underwhelming, I don’t even remember what I got. Also try the Moscow Mule at Bone Valley if you go. Make sure to have them add some jalapeño, it’s the best mule I’ve had.
tonypizzle
@duckboat24 ah nice. thanks for the tip. I will definitely book us a dinner reservation one night for Bone Valley. I appreciate it! I will definitely check out the mule. I love that drink.
