New equipment inside...!

Hey all

I work in a golfstore in Denmark and because of that, I've just been to a PGA of Denmark Golf Exhibition. Here I got the chance to talk to different golfbrands and see what is coming of new equipment. I then thought I would share some of the information I got. Hope that this isn't already old news, but here goes. Oh, by the way sorry about the poor quality of the pics, but all I had was my camera phone.

First of all I would like to show you some cool pics from the Wilson Staff stand where they had Padraig Harringtons set of clubs, irons and wedges which he used to win The Open Championship this year!







The first picture shows the hole bag and the next 2 shows some pics I took of the irons and wedges. The last 2 shows Harringtons hybrid shaft and his driver shaft. I was so excited standing there with the very same equipment that Harrington used to win The Open Championship!!
His wedges was very cool! They had a custom grind and the grooves vas laser cut into the head and had extremely sharp edges. You cut actually cut your finger if you ran it over the grooves quickly. Harringtons grips was also very special. Well, not the grips themselves, standard non-cord grip with a spine, but the way they were installed on the shaft! Instead of the usual way where the spine was aligned according to the clubhead, it was aligned so that when you aligned the clubhead correctly the spine was almost on the side of the shaft. Don't know how easy this is to imagine..? Also, his driver was 9* and had x-flex shaft and his wedges was 52 and 58 degrees.


Then I saw the brand new Cleveland driver which is coming out sometime soon. As you can see from the pictures, it's sort of a modified Hibore XL.






I also spoke to a guy from Titleist, who told me that they are currently developing new irons for next year. The iron will include a new blade, new cavityback like the 695CB and a new sort of all around iron! He also told me that the D4 isn't coming out for the general public. And finally he told me that the new Vokey wedges are ready to be manufactured but Titleist is gonna wait until the decision regarding grooves from the USGA and the R&A have been decided!
