Scotty Cameron Tei3 BOS refinsh w/ deep milled face/Final Price Drop $400

Looking to sell my Tei3. Got it back a few weeks ago from BOS, was refinished in Chocolate Patina, with the deep milled face. It is absolutely perfect, has not been outside since i got it back. Original standard spec loft and lie, and stock paintfill colors. It has a brand new TT Cameron shaft and a Garsen grip. it is cut to 36" so you can make it whatever length you like. Not sure on the price for this thing so going to say ******$400 shipped****** USPS Priority and I will need to require a signature for delivery. Would like to sell today but will wait for a little bit to see what type of offers come in so if you want it, please make a strong offer! Only trades would be a G400/G400 max in 9deg. Make some offers! I dont get offended, if price is to high, let me know.

What’s the head weight on it after the deep mill and refinish??

Head weight was 329 on my scale, weighed it before I installed the shaft. It was is pretty good shape before the refinish, so not much metal needed to be removed

the refinishing options outside of the Scotty custom shop are better and more creative in most cases, just my .02, sick putter, GLWS

That’s why I chose BOS. Custom shop is too limited. Plus BOS really specializes on the Tei3 with their past.

I understand that aftermarket companies offer more options, and that they would do it for substantially less money. But IMO no one will care for it or use the same quality materials that the manufacturer would (that’s not to say that BOS or any other custom shop doesn’t use high end material or meticulous work ethic). I’ve recently customized my Scotty Squareback thru Scotty’s custom shop and it looks stunning. I’m in no way trying to insult you so please don’t take my comment that way. It’s a beautiful putter,. Hopefully I’m the one who walks away with it!

BOS actually used to do refinishing for Scotty and like many others, offer options Scotty doesn’t anymore. They are as good as anyone. However, Scotty is probably the one brand where any refinish other than the CS matters to people and doesn’t help the value.

I’d take $400 and run if it was my putter. Love the face milling BTW.

Not to derail the sale thread, but in this case you couldn't be more wrong. BOS and Bettinardi did the ORIGINAL Tei3 milling and finish as Scotty could not do it in-house. The first generation of Tei3's were milled perfectly so the insert fit seamlessly. All later Tei3's had a white elastomer ring because Scotty brought the milling in-house and couldn't replicate the milling needed to not have the elastomer ring. BOS is the only place to get an original oil can finish, exactly like when this putter was originally released.

What he said. I have a deep milled TeI3 from BOS and @Tako just explained exactly why I went w/them. This is a phenomenal putter with a great soft feel.

Not disagreeing with that at all but it still doesn’t help the value. It’s just how Scotty enthusiasts are. Has nothing to do with the wuality of their work.

Just like anything collectible, its only worth what someone is willing to pay. I looked at this putter as something I wanted to use and not hang on a wall, going with BOS gave more options and ones that I liked. Now if it was a 5k Circle T, then it would have gone only to CS. But its not, BOS is the best for Tei3 in my opinion and I really hope whoever buys this thing will take it on the course and drain lots of putts!

If I had $400 to spare, I would buy the putter and run off like I stole it. I had a Scotty (albeit not a TeI3) refinished about eight years ago through their Custom Shop and had the paint (not the finish) stripping off in a matter of days after I got it back from them. I've since had three different Scottys done by BOS Golf (including a TeI3) and have received service superior to that of the Custom Shop as well as a superior-looking product (in my opinion, not that it matters) at a similar or better price. Sure, many Scotty enthusiasts like any refinishing work done by the Custom Shop, but I'm not necessarily sure you're getting as high quality of a job when you do. Anyway, just my unsolicited two cents. Good luck with the sale!
