Is TXG the best golf channel on youtube?

This is purely my opinion, but I think these guys are the best and most informative channel out there for purchasing decisions. When testing new clubs, shafts etc they can clearly articulate what the pros and cons are and who it is suited too. I know Rick Shiels and Mark Crossfield have bigger channels, but I don't believe they touch on the more exotic shafts or use data as much as TXG. Ian has so much knowledge that he seems to very clearly articulate to the average and expert golfer. Agree or disagree?

Informative but my goodness are their videos long and boring. If they would get them shorter and more to the point I would agree. Still make good videos and I watch but can't tell you how many times I've fallen asleep during them.

“To the point” sounds like a recipe for “click bait”. What makes TXG so revered is that they are thorough beyond reproach. I prefer the long videos because there is such a breadth of content which comes out in the process.

I think it’s crazier you think 20-30 minutes is long, we really are the ADHD society.

I just work and have a kid so don't choose to spend 30 minutes of one of my days watching their entire video. They can be just as thorough without any click bait keeping their content the exact same but in half the time.

They are the best! I get dizzy following Crossfield and his numbers don’t suit the faster swingers. Shiels basically gives everything a thumbs up he hits and his club reviews have become far less frequent. TXG videos show a variety of players and most exotic equipment. As a lefty watching Matt is a bonus! Videos can be long but you can swipe through them to the good stuff.

Crossfields videos are longer and there is more farting then anything in them. Not a fan

I enjoy all them honestly, crossfields course vlogs are very entertaining, but i dont care much for his wacky equipment experiments. His little short swing tips is alright too. Shiels is ok, he seems to be reaching for content at times(amazon driver comes to mind) Of all his videos i maybe watch 1 out every ten he puts out. Txg, is fairly new and some of their stuff is a bit long and monotone, but i bet in time it will get better. Crossfields stuff his first year or two was cringeworthy...but I can honestly say i am a better golfer because of their (txgs) scientific and data driven approach to equipment and the game

I still think there is a good spot for an american youtuber to do some things...but none have really stuck.

txg videos are good, best on youtube? that is a stretch. there are so many great yt channels now, with excellent content. i do feel txg videos drag on a bit... not saying they have to be short, just want the content is good. but sometimes it does drag and turn into a snore session, like just talking to fill time. i find myself skipping to actual content. that said, i love their shaft knowledge and comparisons. i follow them on IG as well.

Their videos are under 30 minutes except for a few live events.

Not when they can cover the same thing in 15 min. Too much yap, yap, yap about the same thing. Any topic they cover can be done in 15 min.

Nice hat Maddy!

I love TXG. I find their personalities just perfect for the information they are giving. I wish they had a little bit more diversity as far as golfers though. Matt has a phenomenal swing. Ian does as well. They need someone in the mid cap range. The older gentleman they have does not seem to fit that category.

For entertainment I watch Golfholics and Golf Sidekick. 2 fun channels to watch some peeps play some golf. For reviews on stuff that just came out I will most likely be looking at Shiels and MNG. I just can't stand Crossfield. Comes off as an a**. Peter Finch's Road to the Open is a fun watch as well.

I just don't understand most of the videos. How does watching the lefty smash balls with a variety of shafts or heads, with what I would call a bit unorthodox swing help anyone else make any equipment decision? I get it, he hits it hard, but what is any of that worth. Between his speed and his technique I wonder how many golfers could ever use his numbers as any sort of useful baseline? I've watched some of the videos but I don't really hear any new or useful info that I could apply to my game.

Sounds like your too intimidated to learn anything. No matter who is swinging there are things that can be learned from their videos.

There are some people on this forum who I am truly impressed by with their knowledge of the golf club in both club making and fitting. Really smart people who I always read their comments and often learn something from. Sorry to say those TXG guys don't fall into that category. Not hyperbole, I just have never heard them say anything I consider insightful. Just my opinion.
