Moving to Vegas - Deals for Locals

Moving from Phoenix to Vegas at the end of the month for a new job. Been there a bunch of times for leisure (if that’s what you want to call it) and have played some golf while there. Not looking for course recommendations as much as I am wondering if there are deals for locals?

 

Rates there are notoriously high for obvious reasons. Are there any “passes” that are available, such as the Troon Card here in Arizona? Do most of the courses offer resident rates?

Pretty much every course will have a local rate. The only ones that won't are the high end courses like Shadow, Cascata and Wolf Creek. Pretty sure Rio Secco and Bali Hai give locals the finger but they aren't worth playing anyways. Also Reflection Bay may be on that list now too thanks to their new pos GM.

 

There's a few players cards, Arcis, Elite or OB. Red Rock & Siena have a players card. Depending on which side of town you are in can't go wrong with the pacc out at Paiute.

As said above most courses offer a resident rate. There are some discount passes but IMO none are very much of a value. For me I use GolfNow and will find a good hotdeal every now and then. Some courses are a better deal than others, for me Stallion Mountain and Royal Links are a great deal year round.

Elite card will get you discount rates by $5-10 at Legacy, Wild horse, Aliante, Spanish Trails, Primm, Mountain Falls (Pahrump).

Coyote Springs Coyote Club gets you a varying rate off, plus 5 free rounds.

That's the only couple I've used, but as said above, all courses offer a local rate as well. Bali Hai has been having a monthly deal for locals, pretty much $20-30 off locals rate. Rio Secco will throw an email out from time to time, but I just learned they're offering a double play with Cascata for $300. Reflection Bay is the only course in town that gives my buddy crap for being military. He lives here, has lived here for 3 years, but he doesn't have a Nevada ID since he has a military ID, and a couple times they have tried to charge him full price instead of locals price.

I have a friend who lives right on Wildhorse. Not the greatest course, but he is an older high handicapper and likes it, so we usually play it at least once when I'm in town. He is a Clark County resident and I'm not. His rate is usually at least $15+ cheaper than mine. Sometimes a lot less depending on what month. At other courses, I have him make the tee times, sometimes the course will ask to see my ID to show whether I'm a resident, sometimes they don't ask and I get the cheaper resident rate he booked.
