NFL Pick 3 Weekly Contest 20019-20

Too much love for Vikings which pushes my contrarian views to pick the deadskins. But it’s the deadskins. Put a gun to my head and I still can’t pick them to cover. But of course they did. Ha!

Ya see Pete the VIkes heard your damnation call on the frozen upper midwestern states, and by God why would any European pick that grey tundra to settle on. Thus they throttled back the points on offense.I'm pretty sure that is why you lost the pick.

So after watching the impotent Redskis offense, I now have the Natitude, Baby Sharking my way into a week 8 Picks list I have no idea who is hurting and not, but no matter the Series stops in DC for the weekend and the Suckskins have lost their weekly game per usual. "UPDATE' NATITUDE IS NO LONGER NATITUDE IN ALL CAPS...baby shark got consumed by the Astros bullpen which is as loaded as a black hole with, well, let's just say it's endless with live arms. "natitude' is shrinking in this town. Scherzer needs a defining moment. If they lose tonight they are toast.

The most heralded athlete in DC is now Juan Soto. The kid has the composure of a seasoned veteran and can hit the ball anywhere. "Update, except for when he overswings". Ovechkin is still safe for now.

The Redskins can not go much lower than they are right now. I guess those people protesting the name in Minnesota do not realize the Redskins were named as such because they are so embarrassed after every game their faces turn red. The Native Americans would not be so upset if they were at least a winning franchise. Once a proud franchise under the ownership of Jack Kent Cooke. now the laughing stock of the NFL. It is a joke that people like Bruce Allen are allowed to run a once-proud franchise into the ground. even loyal fans have stopped going to the games after years of unwavering support. Those poor players basically play 16 road games per year now.

It's time to make those picks.

Tenn/TB Tenn -2.5 Plus the Over 46pts

Green Bay -4.5/ Under 48 pts.

Seattle -3.5 Under 54

Bears/Chargers Under 40

doctoro goes 5-0 picks wise in the early contests today!!! Nice work smart prognosticator, and welcome back to the mix buddy!

Seattle -3.5 and

Sea/ATL Under 54

Bears/Chargers Under 40

Tenn/TB Tenn -2.5 Plus the Over 46pts in that game

If Green Bay covers the 4.5 and it's Under 48 points he goes 7-0. Now wouldn't that be something.

Other news from today.

Congrats to Qqq as for the second time this season ( correct?) he goes 3-0 .

Jerebear and Higherground go 2-1 and stay up top in the standings.

NCLancer joins the push ( tie) club with HigherG and Pete3 as the total points hit right on that number (51) in the Raiders v. Texans game.

Yep 3-0

The Bengals scored a TD with 4 seconds left couldn't believe it. Come back while later and TD was taken off lol.

Browns had more mistakes and TO's than a kids team.

Seattle up 24-0 and finished 27-20.

Thats 100% a hockey attitude. The mid-Atlantic states aren't renowned for their hockey. NJ especially, which is where he grew up. I am glad to see him finally come out of his sleep walking and tell it like it is. The Broncos suck out loud, and what's the difference between losing whether it is by one point or a touchdown. It still goes down as an L. Why wouldn't you try to get the first down to run down the clock and win the game? Atta boy Joe, showing his junk for the world to see. Truly, a Fighting Blue Hen.

This weekend it was cold, like really cold, so I found myself watching a lot professional football, and this is what I decided I don't like.

I like Barry Sanders and Jim Brown, I don't like the first down point when a receiver or running back jumps up, drops the ball and points. I get it, you just got the yardage needed, but on the flip side, you get paid an awful lot of money to get those yards, and the other 10 people didn't run down the field and point with you, and they had just as much to do with your individual success as you did. In fact, if anyone questions this, when was the last time LeVeon Bell got to stand up and point? I think it was in 2017. You know what else I don't like about professional football? QBs that are better looking than me. From a purely social norms view, Jimmy G fits this category, and for that reason I have a hard time getting behind him. But its all jealousy, and when push comes to shove, I will pick him and give the points over the Cardinals.

I like Fred Biletnikoff, I don't like those guys who use eyeblack to the extreme. I was watching an indoor game and the guy had eyeblack all the way to his chin. Just in case the glare caught his rictus he wouldn't lose sight of the ball, but to make matter worse, he played D-Line. The next time he sees a ball to catch it'll hit him square in the facemask. That game was in Indy, and lo and behold they are playing the Steelers, and they are favored by 1. I think the Steelers are starting to come into their own on the defensive side of the ball. On the other hand, the Colts don't give up the ball much, but I think in the cozy confines of the Big Ketchup the Steelers cover on this one. This may change as the news on Conner's shoulder injury is updated, but for now, Steelers in a squeaker.

I like LT and I really like Mean Joe Greene, but I hate Mark Gastineau. I don't know him, but he invented the sack dance, and its stupid. Again, you get paid a lot of money to tackle people, just tackle the guy and get up and maybe have a guy touch your ass as a gesture, but to dance around is stupid. Well, the Jets are favored in Miami, and I think they would be better served if they Gloria Estefan on the edge. I see even the hapless Sam Darnold coming of age against a defense that quite frankly stinks. Heck, LeVeon might even get to 50 yards this week and control the clock. In a battle of bad teams with bad karma and bad execution I am going to surprise here, and take the Dolphins to cover. Pitbull to the rescue here as he comes off the bench to punch in the game winner.

Lastly, years ago, Brett Hull was asked why he didn't celebrate when he scored a goal (and from memory I think he scored over 600 of em) and he said, "Because if I don't make a big deal out of it, maybe they will forget and let me do it again." A lesson for the ages gents. Have a good week.

John Elway might have been a legendary Bronco Qb, but he is a lousy GM. That team, like my Redskins of Pre Dan Snyder, was in the top echelon of football franchises back before he took over.

Not sure about Flacco, but anything he might say about the Broncos is probably true. A losing culture and a waste of a great defense at one time.

I agree with the useless/silly pointing for the first down yardage obtained, yet I rather like a sack "show off move" from a defensive monster.

Sorry it's so cold in Montana. Sorry too that Jimmy G is far more handsome than the Pete man.

I doubt if either Sleepy Joe or GQ Jimmy could win as many face offs as the Pittsburgh slasher!?

I do know neither QB could throw a meaningful check into the boards as strong as you bro!

Lets not compare three bad seasons to whatever the heck you guys have been doing in DC for the past two decades, y'all have won 10 games twice, Denver has won >10 games 4 times since Elway took over in 2011.

In fairness, Elway is a swing for the fences guy, or at least he seems that way to me. Sort of reminds me of the later Steinbrenner years in NY. He would chase aging stars, and when they performed he was a hero and when they were just the aging part, he wasn't. When he signed Manning and he proved to be smart enough to overcome the arm issues he was a hero. When he drafted Paxton, Osweiler, and the other guy who didn't pan out he went back to the well for Flacco. And all he got was the aging with Sleepy Eye Joe.

If I had to compare the Skins to anyone, it would be outside football and compare the Snyder led Skins to the Nutting led PGH Pirates. Yep, its that bad.
