I am not ready to pick the Super Bowl yet, I just want to point my mistake in the NFC game. I was pretty sure the 49ers were going to run the ball. I was unaware Mostert would have been 14 rushes for 160 yards in the first half.

One final missive to take us into the teeth of winter.

Years ago, Troy P was in Head and Shoulders commercials, breaking the stereotype of the big bad football player which is so closely cultivated by each players handlers. I did watch the Netflix deal on Aaron Hernandez, and I believe he is the extreme of playing proud and tough. What a sad ending for a tremendous talent. Really an indictment of America, and our homophobic passions, if in fact he truly was gay, What a shame. He was a talent. Anyway, back to the hair, which is where this story starts. I think I have mentioned I prefer a long all around look rather than the high fade ala Kidd n Play of the 80's, but Patrick disagrees. If I could sling a rock like he does, I would do whatever I darn well pleased. I picked the Chiefs to win it already, and I am nothing if I quit on them now. He is faster than Rodgers, his arm appears to be stronger than Rodgers, and there is no doubt he is throwing to better people than Rodgers. So, as he gets carried to the podium to get his MVP for the game, I hope Patrick says, I am going to wash my hair with Head and Shoulders and not, "I am going to Disneyland." While the mouse was quaint in the 40's it is high time we move away from anti-Semitism (Walt), and homophobia in our athletic heroes. I don't know what the spread is, but I like the Chiefs to cover.

Then we come to the final score pick. I cannot see the 49'er defense keeping the shackles on Patrick throughout the game, so I think they will rip off about 31 points against the Chiefs. Now, here is where I get a little sketchy in my prognostication. The 49'ers run the ball, but Mostert ran for 160 yards in the first half in their last game. I feel like Reid won't let that happen, but I also don't think they will be able to bottle up the running game completely, so I am thinking the Niners score 27 points against Chiefs. So my prediction is 31-27, but it won't be that close, I think the Niners score a touchdown in mop up time.

One final thought, my wife tells me I have a "man cold" but I am pretty sure I have contracted coronavirus, so if you see me, run away.

This was a tough choice. My late grandfather was a 9'ers fan and Chiefs fan as he grew up living in both cities. The 9'ers always had his heart though. I think the Chiefs will win but maybe pop has some magic up there in heaven to help the 9'ers, I think they're gonna need it.
