Hmmm, maybe the ball you are using has a shitty cover. I'm no pro either and my miss is always low heel and have undoubtedly hit some off the channel but I haven't cut any balls and I'm swinging around 120 mph.

 

I do agree with what others have said in the spin department though. I switched from a Rogue Sub Zero. I have lost a few yards due to added back spin(same shaft I had in the sub zero) but have gained a lot on accurracy. I'd love to see Cobra make a taller faced low spin version of the head like a Callaway Sub Zero, Ping LST, or my old favorite, the R9 Superdeep. I'm diggin the F9 but if they made a low spin model SIGN ME THE F UP!!!

Just saw them and the new forged irons, pretty cool, however the forged hollow irons they have a big KING on the side.

The new drivers have same two color ways, cobra sz, bottom does not look as good as this years .

Really? I think the F9 is one of the deeper out there. You dont really need a deep face anymore. The OEMs have found better ways to produce low spin.

Face insert makes it shallow but the club head size in comparison would make it one of the deeper ones. Still, a very easy and forgiving driver. Definitely in the top 2 for me this year.

I guess the F9 'face' might be about average, but the actual hitting surface looks smaller to me due to the milled insert. Same thing with my LTD Pro, except it is actually shallower and the Speed Channel is what reduces the hittable area.

 

But I know that this is all in my head. Even an average player like me rarely strikes it way out there on the face.

Local rep told me the new line will not go by the name F10. Don’t know what the new name might be, but another King or King Ltd might be on the horizon..

Ltd pro needs a refresh. Phenomenal model, low loft fade settings and sits flat. Best sound of all time contender. I’ve kept mine in mint since release and haven’t tried another driver since spring ‘16.

I agree they need a neck update. I wish everyone would copy call away or titleist. They have the best adaptors in the game.

I agree with @Noke on the face height. Shallowest driver I have ever played. As far as needing a deep face I think that all depends on your miss. Personally I have two common misses. Low Heel and High Center. The High Center happens the most often and certainly more than when I was using my beloved R9 SuperDeep. A Taller E9 face would be absolutely perfect for me and it would probbably knock the spin down closer to the M5 and Sub Zero.

 

Ever since Cobra left long drive though, the tall faces have been gone. I don't expect them to come back either. I think Rickie Fowler and Bryson DeChambeau are clearly dictating what Cobra comes out with and unless one of them asks for a taller face I wouldn't expect to see one anytime soon.

They do, but Callaway’s dual cog is miles ahead of everything else.

Surely its not the only driver coming out in 2020 for them. I mean, this is a 12' driver pictured with a weight back only....would be a HUGE step backwards for Cobra if that was the case.

I'm guessing it's an addition to the line. Probably their version of the Ping G400 Max driver with an MOI that reaches the limit and a more stretched back design for max forgiveness.

From what I heard a few weeks back, this is just one of 3 models to come out. There will also be an adjustable one and a low spin one
