From what I heard from TXG, the TX is about a 7.0 on the rifle scale, and I assume then 125S is about a 6.0, which is much closer to where Modus 120X is.

I went from Modus 120tx to MMT 125tx. For me, I personally felt that the modus were stiffer, but the MMT seemed to carry the heft of the shaft lower / have a lower balance point.  These are things I just felt, probably not true for everyone but for my swing it was. Modus have lower spin and slightly higher launch as well

How would soft stepped MMT 125 TX play compared to soft stepped X100s? Anyone play both by any chance?

No, but for my SW and LW I decided to use a 95s. these are in the process of being built so no experience hitting them yet. 
 

The rest of my bag, including GW, are 105tx.

In case anyone is interested in my experience of comparing the MMT 105tx against a DG TI X100 in the Apex Pro 21 head here are the Trackman results with a 7i built to +1.5" length, 1* weak and 1* upright:

I have the 105's in my irons and wedges, but I'm having problems with get enough bite and spin on my wedges. Should I get heavier weight in my wedges?

I can't speak for J but I can tell you that I wouldn't trade them for anything else. But I am playing the 125's and using 8-iron shafts in my wedges.

I would love to know if this is the "better" way to do it? I know this is the old Tiger thing, but does it hold for these?

Yep I have the 125TX in 4 to PW and then 50,54,58 I have the wedge specific MMT shafts. They are every bit as good as the iron shafts plenty spin easy to flight and great feel. 

 

So great I order a 2nd set of wedge shafts from Peoples golf 😆😆😆

Love them in my wedges and I've always been a proponent of heavy shafts in wedges.  Also don't forget to check the grooves and ball, might need fresh wedges or maybe even a ball change.

Brand spanking new wedges. Heavier shaft might help? Would I benefit from using the MMT wedge shaft over the iron shafts? 
I’m using the 2021 Pro V1x, is there a ball that spins more around the greens? I didn’t have a problem at the beginning of the year with steel shafts and the 1x. Our greens are fast now that’s fore sure.

I hit them today in a Callaway Apex Pro. Steel is dead to me; these things are (*&^%@#$ awesome. Please make them a light upgrade, Ping; TM and Cally have them on the rack.

Sounds like my experience - I bought a single 7iron Apex Pro ‘21 with the MMT 105tx to compare to my identical iron with a X100. Now I’m a happy owner of a set of TCB’s with the MMT 105tx’s.

Need some input.... I have a 6 iron SS of 87,  5 handicap , currently play $taper 120 or ctaper 120.  I have a set  of irons available with  MMT 105Tx.   Is my SS high enough for these?

Yes, but they'll play differently than the $taper's.  I played the $taper 120's for a long time and then (gasp, it was the WRX'er in me) made the switch to playing X100's due to a smidge more swing speed.  I'm a ~5/6 handicaper myself and my smooth 6-iron SS is around 90 so we're pretty close.  I've loved my switch from the X100's and feel that even if I was still playing my old $taper's I'd make this switch.

 

Keep hunting down a place to hit them if you can.  The MMT profile hits like the DG's so you'll probably find that the biggest difference in how they feel to you coming from the $tapers.  You may also see a slight (though very small) uptick in SS with the lighter shaft.

So, I have a set of 125TX on the way for my irons and some 125 wedge shafts that I will install in new wedges this off season.  Would the wedge shafts blend well with the iron shafts for wedges that I take full swings with?  My 52 is a workhorse and it just dawned on me that it is more a full shot club than anything else.  Currently using KBS 610 wedge shafts in them.  

 

I was planning on just waiting until the end of the season to reshaft the irons.  But, the Modus 120 I am using isn't exactly my favorite shaft.  I still wish I would have went X100 and the fact that these compare to well to them has me antsy to get this done sooner than later.

I made the switch to the 105tx from X100's and I think you'll be really pleased with going to the 125tx.  I chose the 105tx due to my +1.5" length needs to keep swingweights down, but really felt the transition out of the X100's to the MMT's was easy due to how similar they played.  You'll love these in your TCB's too (I'm playing the TCB's too).

Awesome! Exactly what I was hoping to hear! I almost went with the 105.  But, didn't want to cut the weight down that much.  But, I totally get why you would have.  +1.5" is a lot of extra length.
