Tracking all the clubs you’ve owned

Has Anyone ever tried to track all the clubs they have owned? I am going to try to recreate a list of all the clubs I have ever owned. Looking for some insight into if anyone has ever tried to track this?

Too late for me. I didn't track them and after 55 years of playing the game, I'd never remember. I must admit though, being the ho that I am, I can't remember all the clubs I've had in 2019.

For me, there is no way I could remember all of them. Too many over the years. Iron sets maybe but wedges, putters, drivers, etc. would be impossible.

Do you know what you're asking? There are more than a few Ho's here that could probably stuff their backyard garden sheds full of the clubs they have now, let alone what they used to play!

I know exactly who I am asking. I am looking at 15 years and over 100 clubs of each kind back. I am just trying to do a spread sheet of the such, but didn’t know if anyone has luck doing this?

I did this in another thread a few years ago just for iron sets. At that time I think I had owned over 30 sets of irons. I have been playing the game for 28 years. I’d say I’ve definitely had over 35 by now. I have problems! I am going to make a very honest attempt to not buy a new set of irons for 2 years. Should be ok since I have a brand new set of MP 20s in the bag! Haha!

I keep a spreadsheet of all equipment acquisitions and liquidations, with dates, prices, etc. Goes back approximately 20 years.

After 51 years, I can tell you the first set of clubs I actually bought on my own (used a set of Haig Ultras that were my Dad’s when I was a kid starting out) was a set of MacGregor MT irons in 1981.

 

Current set, bought one week ago are the Mizuno MP20 MMC’s.

 

In between, a set of Ping Eye 2’s, Mizuno MP14’s, and the Titleist AP2 models over the last ten years would stand out from the rest.

 

And please don’t get me started on driver’s!!!

I could have a go but it would maybe be easier to name memorable favourites

 

First set - Golden Bear box set as a kid

First proper iron set - Original Nike Slingshot

Favourite driver - Nike Sasquatch

 

Favourite irons - Still working on it haha!

 

Favourite wedges Nike SV I think they were called

 

I've had a lot of Nike, gutted they went out of business!

I can go back to 1996 with lists of clubs I started a season with or played a significant part of a season with. I also have some extra set that I created a document for but its probably not all of them but I would guess covers 90%. I recorded make ands model and basic specs such as loft, lie, length, shaft and swingweight.

They come and they go. Wouldn't be worth the effort. It would be a very, very long list though. No stone unturned.

I bought my first clubs in or around 2001. I still own them, and most others I have bought since, except I traded 2 iron sets, and gave away 2 wedge-sets. I think I could quite easily construct an accurate list, even from memory, if I wanted to.

I bought my first set in 1996 (Square Two brand). A couple of months later, I'd already started my hoing ways. I cannot remember all the clubs I've bought/sold/traded over the past 23 years but wish I could. Getting old kinda sucks at times...

No chance. I have had clubs that I bought and sold without ever making it out of the FedEx office. Trying to unload special order Mizunos right now that are still being shipped, I need help! Good luck with your endeavor though!

Amen to this. It's a new adventure everytime I go have a look in the basement. Tons of "when did I get this one", "were did this come from", "I had no idea that I had this". Lots of guys at my club ask me if I have a certain shaft/head. Often I have to say I don't know but chances are 80% that its lying in the basement some were.

Mixed bag of clubs my brother got for us in grade school: Circa 1964, he traded the trash man our last functional tricycle for a bag the man had hanging on his truck. (This is a true story!)

Sears boxed set 1W, 3W, 3-5-7-9 + Putter.

PowerBilt woods plus Sears irons and sandy-finished brand X gold putter.

Wilson Staff woods, TopFlite Syncrodyned irons 2-9, Wilson triple-duty wedge, Acushnet Bullseye putter.

California-built custom driver, Sounder 3W and 4W, MacGregor MT irons and MT SW, and Bullseye. (**MT 1-3-4** woods eventually replace custom driver and Sounders - never should have traded the custom driver!!)

Component-clubs custom fit: Pro Tour 1, 3, 4 woods, and 3i-PW + SW + LW (all Pro Tour Black: 2* flat lie), MacGregor M2 putter.

Since 2008:

* Three Callaway drivers

* Cleveland CG14 wedges 50* / 54* / 58*

* Assorted FW woods (since 2012 TE XRail 4W and 7W, or Alpha 815s - see below)

* Callaway X20 irons (two seasons), then Callaway X20 Tours

* Putters: Ping Pal and Ping B60 and Slotline Inertia /

I couldn't track all of the clubs currently in my house let alone forever.
