Ireland suggestions

Does anyone know of a good service to put together a golf trip? Look to package everything together and make it as easy as possible. We want a driver but it will only be my wife and me, I know a lot of bigger groups gets a driver and bus but has anyone every heard of getting one for just 2 people?

Obviously did some googling around but was hoping to hear from anyones personal experience.

I contacted Perry Golf a couple years ago for a quote for Northern Ireland golf for me and my buddy. This would have been an add on to to a larger SW Ireland golf tour sponsored by our golf association and operated by Perry. Private car, driver, hotel and 5 courses. Pricey, but not out of line from what I was I was expecting. I would have done it, but because of tee time availability, it would have been pre main trip. I needed post main trip.

And I would suggest using one of the larger operators with good history. I put down a substantial deposit with a smaller operator ( based out of Tralee) a while back. Great reviews on Trip Advisor. After I sent in the deposit, the owner became unresponsive. Phone, email. No reply. Website shut down. I checked Trip Advisor again. Apparently the owner skipped town with everyone’s money. People were literally left stranded. No hotels, no tee times, no transportation. So do your homework.

Never heard of a pkg with a driver for only 2 people - but you definitely could hire someone to drive you outside of a pkg.

One option I would start with www.docsgolftours.com - Dennis does golf trips that people can join along; it will have a driver for the group, but the people don't necessarily know each other. He may have options if you don't want to go with the group - but that is a better way.

You can try and contact kevin at https://legacyofthelinks.com/about-us/ as well - he does a music and golf trip that anyone can join, again doesn't have to be people that know each other.

Just do it yourself. Seriously.

I've been 4 times starting from way back when you had to actually contact the club secretary by mail, to last summer. With the availability of the internet, you can do it all so easily. Though I guess I should stress that I have no problem driving myself. If you're looking for a little bit of having someone take care of it for you, then perhaps a booking service is the right thing.

Yeah, I think that's the plan. Planning/ booking is no issue and I don't mind driving over there. We both thought it would be nice to just sit back and relax during drivers but it isn't really realistic with just 2 people.

Just booked a trip for mid June. Booked golf on my own as a single player. It was easy contacting courses direct and booking. Bummed County Down and Portrush are all booked.

Bumping this. Want to take a 5-6 day golf trip with one of my boys to Ireland ...at the beginning of August. We have a family reunion in the center of Ireland August 6-9. Would focus on west and southwest, though probably flying in to Dublin. Any suggestions for a trip organizer, again just for two...turnkey...would be appreciated.

Just like Liam Neeson in Taken, I have many skills, but planning any kind of trip isn't one of them. :) Not looking to save money (just adding that for guidance). Thanks.
