Sorta S series / i500 hollow body / iBlade type forgiveness / Blueprint sized forging 

 

I59 remind me of a smaller forged iBlade

Yep agreed. Slightly less forgiving than I blade especially on low strikes. Smaller footprint as well.

Part of me feels that they initially started out trying to create an i210 replacement and simply couldn't. Then they took the design, shrunk it a little, added some forging to make it the iBlade replacement. i210 might have a run as long as the iBlades.

I was able to hit these over the weekend. Some thoughts:

• The sound/feel is incredible
• Mis-hits still fly very good
• They have significantly more (but seemingly smaller width grooves) than my i E1's.
• I gained 2-3 mph ball speed over my current 7-iron (PING i E1)

I will be ordering ASAP.

EDIT: I know that i59 is not the same "class" of iron as the i E1 but it's what I am playing now and its all I have to compare to.

I realize this has been stated, but according to my Ping guy these are as forgiving as the i210. If they are saying that internally it must be accurate, at least on paper (MOI/mathematically)

What is the bounce going to be like on these?  I love my i210s but I have been wanting something smaller (hence buying a set of blades to play with for a little bit) and I find that the i210 turf interaction kinda sucks... I find that I am hesitant to hit the ground with the clubs, and tend to pick the ball and hit it low on the face.  I want to feel comfortable taking a divot.  I know the i59s are going to be out of my price range for a while but I'm hoping they have better turf interaction.

A LOT less bounce than on the i210 which i would consider high-bounce

So our demo heads came in today. Got to hit it with a 6.0 ls shaft(not my preferred). Felt awesome was getting normal carry but was launching the ball like consistently north of 25*. I struggle keeping the ball low but never that high. Anyone else find this to be the case

For the size of the iron these are very very forgiving feel on flushed hits is not quite as good as a forged muscle back iron but definitely pretty good.  Probably the best Ping iron to date.  If you play and practice enough the blueprint is awesome but if you can’t quite get enough practice and playing time in these will be a awesome.

Man they do look great... Sadly I probably should go to something more forgiving as irons are whats costing me strokes right now =(

It’s basically getting to Miura levels now. I’ll save for something else.

Yep. Too bad. I’d take the Blueprints before these now. I’m sure the new forged wedge will be similar.. I can get full set of almost any other company’s irons and 3 wedges for the price of these. No brainer.

The $ definitely factor in. I wanna like these, but at that price point, I doubt I’m gonna pre-order like I expected I might. The $ may not keep me from getting these exactly, but they will make me wanna wait and see reviews (plus demo). And even then, if I have to wait months to get them with shafts I want, I may just wait and see what the i210 replacement looks like (and I preferred iblade to i210). 

 

So the cost isnt just about those that opt for other brands, its also for those of us that get a little more cautious because of the $. I’m happy Ping is trying to innovate here and dont mind paying if its a big improvement tho. Just needs to be more improvement that typical new models provide.

Absurd at $250 a club I still have to pay $27 more per club for C-Tapers. 2k for a set of irons? These would have been an auto order for me to replace my iBlades but man that too much to stomach. T100 it is.

I wasn't really in the market anyhow.  But, was keeping an eye on these.  Planned on demoing them this offseason to see if it was worth shaking the bag up for.  But, not at all for the price point.  $250 per club should pretty much give you a whole menu of steel shafts to choose from.  Some of these have you creeping up over $275 per club.  I like how Callaway did it.  Even at $200 per club for the TCB or XFCB, you got any of their available shafts with that price.

As others have already said, the price point is really disappointing. $1,925.00 for 7 clubs (before tax) with pretty limited stock shaft and grip options. I have a set of s55's and i210's that I will never get rid of because they are so great. I wanted to try these out since they should be comparable to the S55's.

 

No way I can stomach that price point. Even if I had a wad of cash thrown in my lap, I feel like I'd abstain based on principle alone. 

 

Just saw the wedges will retail for $217.50. Wild times.
