I received an email from a Full Swing Rep today saying the price of the KIT is going from $3999 to $5000 the first week of August. I'm not sure if they're including anything extra like the Perpetual Software package or not. Either way it's still a price increase.

Still noodling this. Do you have to connect the app every time? Like, I get it for range/indoor, but how about if you have it on the course with you? Can you just setup machine and get numbers for that shot?

You do have to connect to the app, but it stays connected for a while. I think it would be fine on course

It will operate without being connected to the app you just don’t get video. I do it all the time. You can align and change clubs using the buttons on the FSK.

Another question. Indoors, am I correct that to get any sort of even driving range visualization that you have to have e6? Otherwise it’s just numbers/scatter plots?

I don’t use indoors and don’t intend to.

I only use mine indoors. Outdoors maybe 3 times. The new update has definitely changed some things, I think it is reading spin rates pretty well in that I feel like it is giving me more realistic numbers between ratty balls that have been beaten to death and newer ones. Prior to the update I got very consistent numbers ball to ball no matter the age.

 

However, I'm not sure I am good or consistent enough to really tell. Since the update my yardages on the machine have dropped 5 y, but that could just be some swing flaw that has crept in.

The new firmware is supposed to address spin with the inclusion of a new spin chart developed using the RCT Titleist ball with the folks at TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) via full flight outdoor ball measurements. Apparently this is a first for Launch Monitors. So that probably helps explain the better differentiation for the spin numbers. Normalization (temperature, elevation and wind) from what I heard is targeted as part of an early September firmware update.

I just picked one up used and have used it a bit indoors. I have more space (20 feet) but it seems pretty solid to me. Interestingly, significant differences when I set it using “screen” vs “net” on indoor mode. “Screen” pretty accurate, “net” not at all. Assume that will clean up with firmware updates as net is still in beta.
 

I’ve hit balls with a GC3 too and it’s really good. The two things that made me go FSK were 1) not having to put stickers on clubs and 2) being able to use e6 on iOS for sim stuff instead of having to deal with a laptop.

Has anyone been using this with e6? The reviews of e6 in the App Store are extremely poor with people using different launch monitor units. How is it with KIT?

Finally got to put into a solid range session with the FSK and have to say I think it is accurate enough for what I use it for.  My club uses decent enough range balls but it's certainly not the same as new pro v1's on the course so I take the carry distance with a bit of a grain of salt but even with range balls I felt like it was pretty accurate distance wise.

 

It's easy to set up and use, the only issue I had was I exited the app on my phone to change my music and it didn't stay connected so I had to start a new session.  Probably something I just haven't figured out yet though.

Price moved up to $4999. I bought last week because sales guy said it was increasing. I thought maybe this was a sales tactic, but price did go up 1k. 
 

Based on reviews, I don’t believe this is the perfect launch monitor yet. However, I’m convinced that they are going to constantly improve through firmware updates, so it made sense to get the hardware now at a lower price and ride it out. 🤷‍♂️

Received my unit Friday! Love the packaging and carry case. It is surprisingly heavy. They had a sales picture of it being small enough to go in your golf bag. While that may be true(without the case), it’s not something you would leave in your bag and not notice. I plan to use this exclusively outside and on course so I may look for a low profile ‘sleeve’ type protection case for putting this in my bag. 
 

I like to practice in the evenings on the course, when no one is around. I have some beat up premium balls I use. So I set this up on the tee box and hit 8 drives, went back to the cart to check my phone and unit ‘disconnected’. No data saved. Bummer. Went to another tee box and same thing happened. Then I realized the phone may be too far away from the unit, even though we are only talking 30 feet at most. Set everything up again, but put the phone down right next to the unit. Worked perfectly and now I can sit at home and analyze each shot with video. Loving everything so far.
